Such an amazing restaurant. We came for dinner and the experience was incredible. Wonderful and helpful waitress, beautiful street and outdoor seating area, and delicious food. We ordered lamb stew, veal with asparagus, and duck over couscous. Each of our meals was delicious. My favorite was the veal-- very flavorful! This neighborhood is so cute and we loved people watching... More

No jumping for joy or gastronomic hyperbole. Good straight up stick to your ribs fare. Excellent duck, schnitzels, fair pricing (tip not included) service OK but lacking the speed and attitude that makes you want to leave 20%. Why would a waiter leave an empty apéritif champagne flute on the table after asking if it is still needed and being... More

Menu consisted of some typical german dishes. The food was average, nothing out of the ordinary. In this day in particular it seemed it was aspargus day as most dishes consisted of aspargus with something. Price was reasonable (~15 Euros).

Visited this area on a Sunday (Bernauer Strasse Ubahn) - area was really relaxed, with a small flea market. Walkerd into Oderberger Strasse which has lots of bars/restaurants. Great service and choice of food/drink - and very popular!

We had been in Munich for a week and were all wursted out but this restaurant revived our taste buds and made us hungry for German food again. They offered traditional German dishes but with flair and something even more novel, vegetables! the food was light and delicious, the staff attentive and informative (our German is limited so they explained... While looking for a good German restaurant, the name of this place poped up a few times and they have nice reviews. They serve indeed nice food, nothing mindblowing but tasty food, not expensive and the service is very friendly. I have to admit I was quite skeptic when I got my "Elsäßige" Flammkuchen since it's round and served on... More

Cosy surroundings, general portions, great wine options, delicious dishes, absolutely lovely waitress and host. We couldn't have chosen a better spot for our last dinner in gorgeous Berlin.

We had a late dinner/snack in the restaurant. The food was very good for the price, good selection of wines and beers and very friendly service!

My friend made me visit Berlin, my first time ever in this awesome city. In the evening, we stopped quite randomly at Oderquelle for dinner. The exterior has nothing special. Once inside, we felt comfortable: the place is traditional and cozy. The food was absolutely delicious, with myriads of flavors delicately exploding in the palate. I did not expect much... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
