Great Soup and Sushi, with very courteous service. Reasonably priced, and very organised. Would certainly recommend to any one looking for a decent quick meal.

Great discover. The menu card is huge but not all dishes are available, which is okay. I always hope that means they cannot deliver the quality. Service at lunch time is hectic but you manage to attract the staff attention and everybody is very kind. Loved the food, will go back

Five of us had a quick (45 mins) lunch here today. Three had sushi; two of us had a hot meal with rice. Despite the restaurant being full (we had to wait for a table which is usually a good sign for a restaurant) we were seated, orders taken within minutes and the food arrived within 10 minutes. The sushi... More

We ordered menu for lunch. It was very yummy. I love Japanese food, but not not very interested in sushi. The main dish of most of Japanese restaurant in Europe is sushi, but in this Japanese restaurant you can find also a lot of the other kinds. I also showed their menu on website to one of my friend who... More

We were in sushi heaven, but apart from the much coveted fresh, raw fish, we got many other small dishes that were all perfectly executed, fresh, tasty and, most importantly, inexpensive. We ate like kings (lunch), and our average cost per head was €20. Just wonderful, and such a brilliant location, too, only a few minutes walk from the Brandenburg... More

I was in Ishin near Friedrichstrasse twice already and I knew what to expect. The place itself is not very pretty or cosy, it is more the fast food style - big open space, loud. But the sushi is very good, fresh and they have a wide range of fish to choose from. We had a miso soup and some... More

This was terrible experience particularly if you expect proper quality Japanese food,if you expect McDonalds standards then average...deco is very plain diner type. Edamame was way overcooked almost mash, tofu was horrific tasted like plastic with hint of seafood broth, yakitori little in common with real yakitori and the chicken used was pink mush, miso soup was directly from supermarket... This review refers to the Ishin restaurant in Mittelstrasse. Its a short walk from Brandenburger Tor and "Unter den Linden" avenue..I dont remember ever eating great japanese food at such reasonable prices..the fish is so fresh and they have free tea and coffe and even moderate selection of Japanese desserts (non often found in Japanese restaurants in Germany).. On the downside... More

We had lunch here after a museum visit in the area. We chose the restaurant randomly. Well, it was a great choice. The place had just opened, and we were served promptly and helpfully. I had a huge lunch just for the sake of trying different things, as good Japanese food is hard or impossible to get where I live.... More
