Ishin is my favourite japanese restaurant. Cheap, original, fresh, tasty. Well sometimes it can get really crowded that you have to wait about 30 min to get seated. The menus are sushi(Spicy Tuna Maki is my fav), soups, rice steamed with fish(5-8 euros), a lot of variations of rice bowl with fresh fish(7-10euros) and also sashimi. They have delicious dessert... The food was great - fresh, nicely arranged and very tasty :) We often eat Sushi, and this is one of the best places we have visited! We also liked the atmosphere though it is a busy place.

1st: interior design: awful but as I have been to heaps of Asian restaurants in different countries on different continents this is nothing a lot Asians care about. Tho I do have to say for a couples evening it's a bit unromantic, wouldn't go there again. 2nd: sushi was fine, nothing over the top nothing a cheap take away "Asian-Restaurant"... More

This is one outpost of the restaurant chain that does a good job but is not as good as the original in Steglitz. Service here is uneven and seating can be tight and limited but the food is decent and not overpriced. Unfortunately, Ishin does not have the same menu at all of its locations, so some staples are only... More

This restaurant is one of my favourites in Berlin. Every time I go there, I enjoy the best sushi or some traditional Japanese meal. The service is very good, and prices are really decent. In addition, they offer business meal prices (Happy meal, they call it), with a welcome cup of delicious green tea! Its location is perfect and the... More

My friend and I had a great sushi lunch there and it is very reasonably priced. 2 persons for 35 euros and we had our stomachs full. Deco is basic. Staff is polite though they are extremely busy. Would recommend anyone who wants to have good Japanese food in budget.

My favourite sushi place in Berlin. Good quality fish (for the city) and decent prices. Don't come here for the cosy decor, just for the great food.

Probably the best low price Japanese restaurant. I had traveled in Berlin a few days and came upon this place. It is well distanced from the main tourist street and there's no reason it should be in the crowded streets of Berlin. The place is very quite and clean as the Japanese style, on the walls there is only a... More

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
