Nice evening and supper

We had a nice table outside right next to the Spree, but it started to rain unfortunately. The staff was helpful for transferring everyone inside. The food was nice, the portion were quite large, nice location!

This is an AWESOME restaurant. Fantastic menu and lovely food, the best french restaurant, I have ever come across outside France. Friendly and helpful staff situated on the banks of the river along a quiet street. We eat outside - the duck, steak and lamb were excellent. If you are in Berlin - go there - you wont regret it.

We really enjoyed our first lunch at Le Provençal, and today we went there for lunch again. It was equally good. Good French cuisine in Berlin, view of the cathedral and of the Spree. They don't receive credit card, though. That's our only complaint.

Having lived in Berlin for the past 2 years, I've generally not eaten in this area of town...how I've misuse out. The restaurant was recommended to me by a friend and I wasn't disappointed. The restaurant felt rustic and relaxed, the menu was great and the food was delicious!! The lavender ice cream was amazing. Service did slow down during... More

Don't go by appearance. This is an exceptional restaurant, it is not the cheapest and the service is not immaculate, but the food is excellent. Speaking no German, this was our first visit to Berlin, spied Le Provencal on a familarisation walk. Thinking of the expected wet weather, booked a table "on spec" at this unprepossessing typically french restaurant. Arrived... More

We have decided to taste french cuisine and made our best decision to give a try to Le Provencal. The terrace was opened and the Berliner Dom offered an exquisite view. The food and service were great. Good value for money.

Excellent food. We had Soupe a l‘oignon, Huitres, Magret de canard, Sorbet citron & Fromage. The service was good. There were not many guests that Sunday night, but the waiter was neither too attentive nor too absent. Just very good. Nice place.

One of the places I looked up on Trip Advisor before we visited and really wanted to visit. I knew it wasn't going to be cheap, but I'm more than happy to pay if it's worth it. It was a Saturday night, but was actually empty when we got there. I'll start by saying - the food was actually pretty... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
