Delicious currywurst!

Come here to try the curry currywurst. A really good place for a quick bite in a lively part of Berlin.

The typical berlin speciality: sausage with a kind of spicy tomato Sauce and french fries- here you'll get one of the best in town- for sure the best in that area of town. It's very popular and well known through out the town!

We went to the Curry 36 near the Zoo Station. We had heard about Curry Wurst being the most popular dish in Berlin and were expecting actual curry! We had to queue, were served by a rude woman and were presented with the most unappetising 'food'. It consisted of 2 very poor quality sausages with a sprinkling of 'curry powder',... More

Found the Currywurst 36 stand while waiting to meet friends. The Currywurst were delicious!! I'm not a big Ketchup fan but the sauce was very good. Fresh French fries as well. Yes there was a line in front but the wait wasn't long at all.

The currywurst was uniquely flavorful at an affordable price! It pairs perfectly with their fries and a beer.

Fried sausages, sliced thickly and absolutely smothered in ketchup... Together with fries, smothered in its own humongous glob of mayonnaise if you ask for it. I've tasted better, but it was still super tasty and so worth €4.90 for a double portion!!! I just think it could do with less ketchup, but others might disagree! The lady that took our... More

Would definitely go back for another. I got one currywurst with skin, and the other without. Comes with fries and onion, and is smothered in sauce. So good!

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
