Great tapas

Stopped here for a late lunch and had to sit at the bar since all tables were booked. The food was superb and as always with tapas you have the chance to sample lots of different dishes.

Great time in berlin. I never really knew what to eat in berlin as the germans are famous for sausages and i didnt really fancy these morning, noon and night. Lol but this little tapas bar was a treat. Very cosey. Food to a good standard plenty to order off the menu. Waitress very helpful

The food here was very good: lots of choice, tasty, authentic and varied. The service however left a lot to be desired. I can never understand why restaurants aren't attentive with providing more drinks - the less you drink, the less money they make. In any case, recommended due to the quality of the food.

Visited Atame on a recent trip to Berlin. We were lucky to get a table on a busy Friday night, the service was a little slow but the atmosphere and food more than made up for it. Some excellent tapas dishes but we did feel let down by a few of our choices namely the tempura prawns and manchago bread special.... More

This restaurant was incredible. I have eaten Tapas in lots of different restaurants in many cities but this was by far the best I have ever tasted. Granted, the menu is a little limited but there is still sufficient choice and the food makes up for any misgivings! The staff here were great and the cost was pretty reasonable too.

We went there for Sunday lunch and enjoyed the tapas but we thought the main courses were a bit limiting. As it was a lunchtime bite, I didn't leave a tip. The manageress or waitress told us that it would be nice if you leave us somecoins.... I do not like to be told what to do. ... .

Great food, good wine from a long vine list and perfect service. Only EC and Maestro credit cards are accepted so bring cash if don't have these.

Situated between Hackescher Markt and Alexanderplatz this gem isn't in the best of locations. But it is well worth to seek out Atame for everything is right there. The tapas are great and very tasty (Don't get lured in to ordering too many thought they all look yummy.) as well as the Spanish wines. The waitresses and waiters are all... More

Located a bit off Hackisher Markt, it wasn't the location that brought us there - but rather good reviews. And the reviews were right, a wide a selection of tapas, ample portions (some a bit large, actually) at an OK price. Be sure to try the asparagus if in season.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
