Good tapas

Nice place not far from Alexander platz. We tried different kind of tapas and all of them were very taste. Unfortunately they don't have sangria hence we went for a Spanish wine.

Had to wait at the bar a good 40 min to get a table but the wait was worth it. The food was very good and although not cheap this place is definitely worth a try, and booking upfront probably a good idea.

Small and cosy tapasbar. Very good and tasty food. Menu are a little limited but big enough to find good tapas.

We had high hopes for this restaurant near Hackescher Market. Alas, our hopes were dashed. Tapas dishes were all pre-made and lukewarm at best. The aubergine was pureed: we had hoped for something akin to Spanish baba ghanoush. But their eggplant could have been Gerber's baby food tapas. The tuna tasted like it had gone off a bit. Papas bravas... More

Good food, good wine, good atmosphere for a quiet cosy night either before or after going out out. An ideal place if you want to come away from the commercial area around Alexanderplatz. Me and the wife enjoyed a nice bottle of Rioja and the tapas menu, qual breast in a chocolate dew is a must!

I note that some reviews aren't great, and may have put us off had we seen them before visiting; but we were delighted. We were served by two Spanish waitresses, both friendly, good fun and attentive. The place was pretty busy, loads of people at the Bar and at tables, all enjoying themselves. The bar/restaurant has a great, authentic, feel... More

Arrived Saturday afternoon at 2 pm. Sat down and the hostess walked away from the table. About 10 minutes later I asked the bar tender if she could fetch the waitress to take our order. No response from either of them. We walked away thinking that the owners where not present and the girls did not feel like working.I will... More

We ate there our first night in Berlin and it was a good choice, tasty tapas, great wine and a short walk from our hotel , not cheap but excellent quality and friendly waitress who was Spanish.

I dined at Atame on a business trip since it is located very close to the hotel I was staying at. As I was there with vegetarian colleague and we decided to share, I can only comment on the veggie tapas, which were all delicious. Service was prompt and unlike the somewhat grumpy waitress who showed us our table and... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
