Great host and great food

A yummy meal. The host was wonderfully entertaining and made us feel very welcome, his staff were very efficient in bringing the food and clearing tables. The food was delicious and very fresh. I only wish we had managed to fit in another visit before we left Berlin.

Visited Saigon since I felt for some asian food after a week in the German kitchen. Its resonable both in price level and if what you get, but I would say its an average kitchen. By this I mean, its honnest and taste all right, but not the best / high end kitchen you can experience in other places. The... More

My wife and I are going minimum once the week for dinner to that fantastic Vietnamese restaurant. It doesn’t matter what you choose from the little menu card – the food what you’ll get is absolutely fresh and so tasty! You should try the traditional Vietnamese soup. These soup isn’t fad and you’ll be full after you finished. Nice light... More

Great little Vietnamese restaurant. The owner is extremely friendly! We were greeted with a handshake as soon as we walked through the door, were provided suggestions on the menu, and my husband was even given special, extra-hot chili sauce for his meal (in a syringe!) because he mentioned that he liked spicy food. It is a fun place, and the... More

Great experience. Any word further is redundant. Food delicious, manager takes personal care of everyone. Tasted other viet restaurants in Berlin, this one above all.

We went there because of the great reviws on trip advisor and we were not disappointed! The staff was friendly and the owner very charismatic. The food was AMAZING, we shared a starter and had a huge main course each. I had the fried rise with duck and my boyfriend had the spring rolls with noodles - it is with... More

After tackling our fair share of beer and currywurst, Saigon satisfied our craving for light, healthy Vietnamese food. The menu is broad and Food is prepared without MSG. Owner is as friendly as others have noted. If planning to go, note that they are closed Mondays. We learned the hard way.

Off the beaten path place, great Vietnamese food and a show man owner. He is actually Turkish, but that does not make a difference in how good and fresh the food is prepared. Worth taking a break from busy Berlin streets and make Ertugul a visit.

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
