i had the brunch last saturday and it was fabulous. russian specialties, and lots of fresh fruit and vegetable, and outstanding bread. the cappuccino was pretty good too (though i've had better), and the freshly squeezed fruit juices were excellent. excellent service as well.

Pasternak is a great place to go for Sunday brunch. It's all you can eat for just €12. The food is actually quite good, not like most all you can eat restaurants that serve bland, poor quality options. Here, you'll find a wide range of dishes from meatballs to fish to tasty tiramisu. Drinks are not included in the price.... More

Excellent food. Very busy during weekends, it is better to reserve a table in advance. I really enjoyed its atmosphere at lunch time when it is quieter. Service is also very good and friendly.

We stayed in Prenzlaur Berg and went to Pasternak for the famous Berlin brunch. We were not disappointed. A great experience and full of locals. You can order from the buffet lots of interesting canapé type foods, a BBQ of pork, sausages and squid cakes, fruit etc etc. AND you can order a la carte from the Breakfast menu. The... More

This is a Russian restaurant. Decor is nice and the menu is interesting, but the food was average. Overcooked veal that looked great on paper, but was disappointing. Service was good.

Pasternak used to be a restaurant, where food was great. I am sorry, but the experiance was bad! Where is the proudness and and the serious cooking?

We entered the place without planning it... and it was a very good surprise, with a Russian atmosphere, with customers speaking Russian (a good sign of quality), with deco at its best. Food is fine and delicious

The reviews were good so we were excited to try this place for Sunday at dinner time. Made reservations but it wasn't necessary at 6:00. We had the Doctor Zhivago sampler- shrimp, mushrooms, quail eggs and caviar, pickled herring with apple, salmon and sour cream, served with bread. It was good but don't know if I would order it again-... More

The sheer mention of the name Pasternak conjures up the image of Dr. Zhivago, one of my favourite films of all time. I visualized an old worldly setting and it was that and much more. In my research on Berlin, I had read about Pasternaks as a 'must do' restaurant for brunch, in the trendy neighbourhood of Prenzlauerberg in East... More

If you are bored by the offer of all the other brunch locations with everytime the same food, then Pasternak is the right choice. To be onest, it is a bit more expensive than other places. But, the quality, the variety and the amount of food is worth this. There are loads of different savoury specialities. From salads over fish... More
