Amazing Way To Enjoy German/Austrian Cusine

My first night in Berlin, I ate at this restaurant simply after glancing at the menu. I chose a €30 3 course pre fixe menu which included pumpkin soup, wiener schnitzel, and apple strudel. Everything was fantastic, with large portions, and delicious food. Restaurant was packed for a Friday night... read more

If you are searching for non profesional service this is the place. More over, you will never feel safe as obviosly thiefs are very welcomed in this place. Few minutes after one of 40 guests, prepaid group of doctors, noticed that his hand bag is missing/stolen the only comment from so called waiter was: I have to serve mail dish... More

We secured a late booking to this restaurant only as there was a last minute cancellation. The venison was lovely, with an assortment of complimenting flavours. The vegetarian options were also very wide for an Austrian restaurant. Dessert was also a treat. The staff were very friendly throughout, immediately bringing an English menu after my poor attempt to greet them... More

Absolutely not my kind of food nor my kind of Berlin neighbourhood but what a truly fabulous evening. Exquisite attention to detail, kind service with humour, lovely food ( as a quasi veggie I had mushrooms with noodles - great) and a warm ambience. Highly recommend. An aperitif at the hotel am steinpkatz was just the ticket

A nice, white table cloth restaurant with a very professional waitstaff. I went with some business colleagues and we had an enjoyable meal. I had venison medallions which were very tender and accompanied by fresh vegetables. We also tried their special apertif which was interesting. Not really my thing, but a nice way accompaniment. I'd go again.

We went for dinner to this restaurant, the food was excellent we were lucky and manage to get a table but would recommend phoning and booking a table. My daughter is vegetarian and often find the choice limited, there was no problem here. The staff and friendly and helpful and it has a very friendly atmosphere

Perfect tender steak, amazing venison dish and lovely spätzle. We all ordered different dishes and all were "best ever quality". Cozy place and nice service. You will not regret going there!

we ate here twice, and both times it was fabulous. The best Wiener schnitzel in Berlin, and terrific portions, enough for two. The soups are great too - gemütlichkeit beef and dumplings, but also adventurous wild garlic and cream. Excellent, friendly service and good Gruner Veltliner by the glass also wonderful kaiserschmarren and strudel. Highly recommended.

I arrived in Berlin a bit jet lagged and hungry. One of my work colleagues wanted to grab dinner together and I didn't want to stray too far from the hotel, so the Waldorf concierge recommended and made reservations at the Ottenthal which was about two to three blocks outside the back door of the hotel. When we arrived at... More

We last visited in 2008, The food and service is still as good as it was last time we visited. Highly recommended for a meal out for a special occasion.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
