Great service, good beers and whiskies

Really welcoming place, food looked pretty basic but good (I didn't eat there). Nice beers at a pretty good price for a European capital (4 euros a pint or so), and a small but good selection of whiskies too. Good barman in Terry as well! Recommended.

The least an Irish pub can do is to serve some good stouts. Unfortunately, the Guinness beer they served was flat and lacked the creaminess on the froth. To make things worse, the urinal was extremely filthy. I can bet you can find public urinals in dark and disdainful metro stations much cleaner. I could barely move around in the... More

Prices tooo high, service slow and the owner is terribly unfriendly: after having paid here 30 euros for two burger and two beer and having sitted here for no more than an hour, the owner would have wanted us to leave if we had not ordered something else. And good luck if you wish to watch a footbal match here:... More

I as looking for for a pub to watch Barcelona v. Real Madrid. I know that Germans do not generally watch Spanish football, and I was told this place might be showing it. I went it and it was crowded, as to be expected, but it was an utter madhouse and staff did not excercize control over where people were... More

It used to be the place to go many years ago but now the building looks like it is about to fall down and I rarely see many people in there, save for backpacker pub crawls on a weekend. Shame because it is in a very central spot where there is a dearth of good drinking dens and it could... More

If you want 5 Star food then find a fancy restaurant, for a group of lads wanting beer and a full breakfast then it was good. People were OK and they had loads of TVs for the football.

Went here for a footy game. Got served a burger with a pre-made beef party and a top bun toasted almost black. €10. Turns out I was served a smaller burger. Mistakes happen, and I asked for a refund of the price difference. I was told: "Sorry, you're problem. You ate the burger and should've noticed it was a smaller... More

I contacted the Oscar Wilde by email ahead of a trip to Berlin to ask if they would be showing the Celtic v Inter Milan Europa League football match. They replied and said they would be. I built my evening around going to the bar for the match, making sure I ate locally so I could be there ahead of... More

Always stop by here for a few beers when in town. Proper lovely feel to it. It's definitely an Irish pub and not a cafe- the scented Guinness farts that greet your arrival will confirm this. Real authentic Irish staff behind the bar too.

If you are a fan of british clubs or pubs, this is THE place. You feel like being in GB, you your fellow-guests are 90% british. The beers are coming from Great Britain, the food is better then there... I loved the atmosphere! Don`t forget to ask for live-music... there is always action. I nice place to relax!

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
