This is the place to go if you want you want to be treated by people who really live for running a good restaurant. If you in addition want tasty German food it's a must. To discover places like this is the whole purpose of travelling abroad. You probably can't find it anywhere else.

Marjellchen offered excellent traditional East Prussian dinner. We dined on tender pig knuckles with cabbage salad. Succulent duck with cooked red cabbage. Our favorite was a and mouth watering pork loin with a prune sauce and perfectly prepared large dumpling. The tripe soup was very good - tender pieces of tripe in a vinegar based soup. This is a small... More

Traditional food from Prussia and neighbouring states when they were German. Host is welcoming and delightful, tells stories of her family when lived in what was then Danzig. Traditional decor and wonderful photographs. Great food in traditional style. Definitely visit if looking for regional cuisine. Hope you're hungry, you will need plenty of room in your stomach.

Not cheap but food of a good standard. Many old traditional German dishes available in old fashioned surroundings. Service was slow but they were very busy which to me is a good sign. Massive portions...as the Germans like.

Loved the suburban area where this is located. Owner's constant attention to detail will make your meal memorable! Portions enough for lunch the next day! Wait staff is outstanding. Tasty food that tastes cooked with plenty of care and experience. Intimate dining surroundings.

We were looking for somewhere that served traditional German food and chose Marjellchen based on Trip Advisor reviews. We were very pleased we did. Traditional German food, generous portions and very friendly, helpful service. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be going back next time we're in Berlin. I'd recommend reserving a table. We did but they had... More

I loved it here. From the warm welcome we received outstanding service and great German food. The food tasted amazing, and service here was definitely better than any other restaurant my partner and I ate at in Berlin. The atmosphere is very nice. Definitely recommend if you want something different, and at excellent value.

There are not many actual German restaurants at the top of tripadvisor's list but Marjellchen should be #1! Great home style cooking (the haxe was great!), friendly service and good beers all at reasonable prices, what more could you want?

We went to this restaurant with a group of 24 people, it was recommended by a person who lives locally. Although the service was a little slow we enjoyed the atmosphere and the owner was a lovely lady who came in and told us all the story of how she came to be in Berlin, a very touching story. The... A tribute to the lost lands of Prussia, this restaurant wears it's nostalgia on it's sleeve and works hard at presenting an authentic time capsule of atmosphere and food. The decor is 1930s and earlier, whilst the menu offers a wide variety of east and west prussian choices - Königsberger Klopse, smoked eel, Pomeranian pork, Masurian Stewed Pickled Beef and... More
