Excellent!

I traveled the world but this can be one of the best restaurants I have dined so far! Restaurant is traditional Prussian/German, taste is great, service is good, staff is friendly, atmosphere is authentic. Portions are huge so do not order too much. It was the best experience of my Berlin trip.

This restaurant fairly occupies it's place in the list of Berlin top restaurants. Make sure you book a table in advance, as it would be a miracle to have one w/o booking. The food is very delicious, portions are big for a fare price. Don't order too many appetizer and main dishes as it will be very hard to finish... More

Advice: book a table in advance as this place is very busy! We did not, but fortunately we could book a table for two days later. It is absolutely worth going. Very cosy, authentic restaurant with good food, generous portions, excellent service.

We read great reviews on Marjellchen on this site and marked our map for the location. We happened to be in the area and decided to give it a try....well what can I say....it is authentic! The moment you walk in to the restaurant you will feel like you are stepping into a different era, beautifully decorated. The food is... More

And when you happen to be there in May - June try dishes with asparagus. You will want to come back the next day. Gracious owner will serve you terrific wiener schnitzel (with spargel) and will tell you stories of Berlin. Do not forget to bring your appetite along with you..

I wanted to visit here because of the TA reviews. The first evening I couldn't get a table because I hadn't reserved so I reserved one for the following evening. This is a classical German restaurant. The staff are welcoming and very friendly, speak excellent English and even offer a menu in English. The menu offers a range of classic... More

If shed been Prussian. Which she wasnt. The food is so light so tasty and to me, a non German, tastes somehow so authentic that I was blown away by this place. When we walked in, the smell of beautifully cooking meat was a reassuring experiance. Staff are fun and get the job done- our waitress also spoke enough Italian... More

Great location and cozy setting. It's a nice place for a change from the usual German fare. The cuisine is East Prussian and Pomeranian with a lot of Polish influence. Stews, Goulashes and pot roasts of pork, beef and game (hare, venison and boar). The food is cooked home style - hearty and large portioned. Prices are moderate. This place... More

Decided to visit this place after reading all the reviews on tripadvisor. It did not disappoint. One of the best food we had on our European holiday. If you're after a really good traditional food look no further. We had a lamb and duck, herring for starter and two glasses of their beer on tap. Amazing, every single thing. Originally... More

What a great place... Frau Ramona Azzaro even took the time to show me a 1940 Census Book from Koningsberg showing me my relatives that still lived there..will always remember her words..that my Grandfather who came to the United States before that time was one of the lucky ones, The food is great and the experience is totally authentic. Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
