Went to this restaurant based on the positive reviews here. When we arrived at the entrance, a waitress told us there were no tables in a very rude manner despite a lot of the customers coming out of the restaurant at that time. We waited for a few minutes until a girl along with her 2 friends (obviously tourists) approached... More

I've been there 3 time and will certainly come back! + Most efficient service I've ever seen in Berlin (service speaks numerous languages, perfect for international guests or business dinner) + Authentic interior + Amazing traditional recipes from Prussia (mostly meat) + Good selection of wines and liquors

We went there for a nice dinner after walking around Berlin, as my friend did some quick research online with his phone and found this place had good roasted pork knuckle. I am not sure how good the pork knuckle is to local people's taste, but it was quite delicious to us. The portion was big, the roasted pork was... More

A very authetic Prussian food experience. This restaurant is a gem off the Ku'damm. It's in a very posh residental street off the old West Berlin circuit. In fine weather, you can sit outside with the locals and enjoy a hearty, decent dish. The food here is really the best in Berlin. The hostess is delightful and will ensure you... More

In the summer the put the table outsides, really nice and quite dinner. Second time I come in this restaurant and I can confirm this is one of my favorites. I ate meat balls and my boyfriend Mushroom filet. At the end apple strudel. The service is quick and the price fine. We will come back, thanks a lot to... More

Summary of Marjellchen Negative 1. Rude and unprofessional- (one particular waitress) 2. Unventilated and hot (July) 3. Not returning us our balance as expecting as tips( come on! Have some courtesy) 4. Food is overly cooked but maybe is just a Germany's taste bud Positive Quite large portion

My partner wanted to have the pork knuckle (Eisbein), and he googled to find this restaurant, reputed to serve the best in Berlin. It really was good!!! We sat outdoor, smelling the linden blossoms and enjoying the evening atmosphere of Berlin on a residential back-street. The portion was generous and tasty. The service was good, provided by a couple of... More

We ate at this restaurant on two nights of our trip to Berlin in July 2015 (after remembering it as our favourite restaurant from our previous stay) and on both nights the experience was great fun - just as good as we remembered! Really oldy-worldy cosy atmosphere, in the old German inn style, which creates a perfect atmosphere to enjoy... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
