Firstly you need to book to eat here as it is quite small and very popular. Having said that we turned up without booking and from outside the place looked closed and deserted. On opening the door there was a curtain drawn across and as I peered through it looked like a private party. We went in and spoke to... More

We went to Marjellchen based on a friends recommendation and had one of the most remarkable evenings in a long time. We were greeted like friends and shown to our table in a quiet corner of the restaurant (booking is essential). The service was very personable throughout the evening and any questions were happily answered. The food was delicious -... More

Saw fantastic reviews for this restaurat on Triadvisor an decided to try. The whole experience was first class. The food was hearty and flavourful just as you would expect in Germany. The service was incredible and our waitress ELLY was on hand to help us with her recommendations and keep us entertained with her humour. G&T, 2 small beers, 1... More

One of the best German restaurant in Berlin. Very tasty food, big portions, good prices, nice service and comfortable atmosphere. Long story short, everything you can ask for :)

The great things others have said about this place are true. While it's only a block away from the KDamm, it's a world away from the glitzy, high-priced establishments that line this street. True Gemütlichkeit, great food, and ample portions. Service was efficient, yet warm and friendly. I highly recommend the smoked deer starter, which we tried at our server's... More

We have the best dinner in Berlin. Especially the pepper steak is excellent. I definitely reccommend this place. The price is also very reasonable.

Great night, lovely dinner and also wonderful service. Very good advises on traditional german food that we did not know. The waitress was very helpfull and friendly. All the dishes were very good and the restaurant was crowded so it's always a good sign.

We wanted a traditional restaurant on our visit to Berlin and we were not disappointed. If you were to visit one restaurant while here in berlin we would recommend this one. It was recommended to us from our hotel concierge. Firstly the welcome was friendly the lady who served us was lovely and very attentive. The service was excellent throughout... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
