This restaurant was recommended & we were not disappointed. Wide selection of large portioned Bavarian delights served in delightful ambience of oak panelled premises. Good quality food & very friendly service including visits by Frau to chat & check on satisfaction. A great experience .

First of all may I thank the owner for squeezing a hungry couple into a very busy restaurant! We literally arrived just as they opened, and were informed they had no tables for the next week or so due to the time of year (and no doubt due to the fab reviews): however; she kindly announced that IF we could... From the moment we came through the curtain at the door we were sure we were going to have an enjoyable evening. A gentle buzz of people in a relaxed atmosphere and an interesting and authentic setting. The food didn't disappoint. Smoked goose breast with cream and cranberries and lots of homemade bread and butter. A pot of beef and... More

We had a good time. The Frau and Klauss can be a little gruff but it totally fits the place and they do a good job of "keeping it real" Berlin style. We ordered some seared goose by accident and I ate it anyway so the lady wouldn't think I was a wuss. Everything was well prepared with large portions.... More

We took a taxi from our hotel near the main station and received an extremely warm welcome on arrival. Seated quickly in this busy characterful restaurant we found other guests seemed to be locals and visitors to the city of Berlin. We ordered the mixed starter - be careful, even for 2 it was a meal in itself! I followed... More

Reservations are hard to come by, but it is worth the effort to have some great food in a Prussian setting with a delightful hostess/owner.

I seen the amazing amounts of reviews on trip advisor so i managed to secure a booking for a sunday evening meal. Food was fantastic, staff were very polite and friendly. Overall, a well tucked away, authentic Prussian restaurant.

We have eaten here twice. On Christmas Day in 2010 and in November of 2014. Both times the food was great and the service friendly. I recommend the Koenigsberger Klopse.

We had dinner at Marjellchen a couple of days ago: the restaurant is very elegant, the staff super nice and the dishes are unforgettable. Very good athmosphere and original Prussian tastes. Absolutely a must in Berlin!
