Lovely Restaurant

We visited this lovely restaraunt last night. We booked in advance which was a good move as people were being turned away as it was so busy. We chose to dine outside as it was such a warm evening in Berlin and had been roasting hot all day. The service was excellent and the food was some of the... read more

The food in this restaurant is simply unique and delicious. All of the dishes are Prussian with a twist. The staff is extremely friend and kind. The owner comes around to each table to greet the guests and make everyone feel special. This is a great dining experience in Berlin.

The atmosphere was beautifully "Old World". The service by Carola and Elke was amazing. Ramona, the owner came to check on our table several time. As for the food, it was delicious, and the portions were huge. I had the crispy duck, the best I've ever had. Two others at the table had the fillet pot (pork and beef fillets,... More

My two sons and I stopped here for dinner one night after reading the positive reviews. I must say the experience did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. My entree was the Masurian Jugged Game and it was fabulous.

Wonderful restaurant and wonderful service. Elke is by far the best waitress we have encountered in Berlin. She was truly friendly and warm. We travelled from potsdamer Platz to this restaurant and it was well worth the effort. Shared a massive starter between two. Was delicious, followed by lamb saddle and pot fillet. Absolutely lovely food and would recommend a... More

I visited the restaurant and order pig knuckle and eel, 16, 21 Euro respectively; both are tender and strongly recommended. The knuckle was roasted and thus crispy, yet it is still juicy as if it had been braised. I posted a review immediately to Tripadvisor. Funny after submission, I was asked to rate the same restaurant again. Thus, thinking there... More

This is a very busy restaurant and reservations are a good idea, as I found out trying to walk in on my first try. Someone mentioned their phone is not working, but they do not open up until 5pm so I'm sure no one is there to answer the phone before 5pm. I was born in Berlin long, long ago... More

We did not have a table reservation but felt welcome from the moment we stepped inside the restaurant. The restaurant has a very cosy and homey atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and made us feel really welcome. The decor with carpet and dark wooden furniture made the restaurant feel very authentic. Food was really great! We loved both our... This is a popular restaurant in Charlottenburg. During our trip, we went there for dinner twice, and we thoroughly enjoyed dinner on both occasions. Service was friendly, the main courses generous and delicious. I had Sauerbraten as a main on one evening, and it was excellent. My wife was very happy with her roasted duck. The other evening I had... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
