In September 2014 Restaurant Maharadscha has completed 30 years. We want to say a large thank you to all our guests for their faith in us. If you want to experience authentic Indian food you are here at the right address. We serve chicken, lamb, duck, fish and other seafood dishes but we do have a variety for our vegetarian and vegan guests as well. Here you can forget your prejudices against Indian food since you decide whether you want your dish mild, good-seasoned, spicy or very spicy. One of the owners is always at your side to make your visit memorable. Even though we have a large number of dishes, every meal is been prepared freshly after your order is placed. Both restaurants are located very central. You can get to Maharadscha in Schoneberg easily in 5-10 minutes from the underground station Wittenbergplatz (Kudamm with KaDeWe). So tourists can easily travel to the restaurants. Please notice: We don't accept credit cards. Only cash.

Butter chicken was beautiful, flavourful and just right in spice heat, cheese naan was great with it. Service was warm and attentive whilst not being invasive. Prices were very reasonable too, next time I'm in Berlin. I'll be sure to have another visit!

I have eaten in several indian restaurants in Berlin, but this one takes them all. Great food at fair prices (main dishes are about 9-12 EUR) and service that makes you feel at home.

Very nice Indian food near my hotel. Owner is nice and friendly, always carry smile on her face :] Seems to be a popular dinning place in the neighborhood. 在tripadvisor找到這家離酒店很近的印度餐廳,食物不錯,飯吃完還能再添。阿姨十分親切,笑容滿面,值得來這嘗試一下

Very delicious food. Owner couple is too helpful and friendly . We opted for daal and vegetables Biryani . My kids liked it too much. We are Muslims and they honestly told us that they have nothing halal except tandoori chicken. Service was quick and effecient.

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
