Description: Please note that we do NOT take any credit cards. We only take cash or the german EC card. One of the oldest indian restaurants in Berlin since 1984. This year we are celebrating 30 years. You can get there easily in 5-10 minutes from the underground station Wittenbergplatz (Kudamm). We serve chicken, lamb, duck, fish and other seefood dishes but we do have a variety for vegetarian and vegan people. In this restaurant you can forget the prejudices against indian food since you decide whether you want your dish mild, good-seasoned, spicy or very spicy. One of the owners is always by your side to make your visit memorable.

Was really looking forward to eating Indian. The soup was tasteless! The main course tasted as the leftovers from the soup was poured over the chicken! The owner and staff were very kind! But the food was well below my expectations:(

Very good Indian food, everything tasted fresh and flavourful - apparently dishes are prepared to order from fresh ingredients. We can especially highly recommend paneer dishes - tomato, nuts and raisins dish with homemade paneer was delicious. Cauliflower appetizer was also great and tasted exactly as I remember from my trip to India.

After two weeks in Germany, we were hankering for Indian food. Tried this place since it was within reasonable walking distance from our hotel. First of all, the owners are lovely. The service was superb and friendly from the wife, the husband, and who we assumed was one of their daughters. However, the food left something to be desired. I... More

The Maharadscha is currently ranked as #17 in Berlin and I guess that's somewhat overrated. The food is indeed good and the service is very friendly, but there is nothing exceptional about this place. That said, we had a great meal and I wouldn't hesitate to return the next time I'm in Berlin.

I have walked past this place many times over the years and ended up eating here twice in a week. The food was good esp the lamb Vindaloo that I had the first night , I also loved the pickles that I had as a side order. The staff were friendly and helpful, I shall return on my next trip... More

It was my first time eating at an Indian restaurant. I was not certain if it was worth my time and money, but I enjoyed every bite. Even the spicy dish was a delight. The service was great; friendly, helpful and good people. The food was somewhat spicy. Yet, I could not get enough of it! The quality of the... More

My partner and I were there for dinner and ordered one of the menus with a soup to start, a trio of main courses with chicken, lamb and vegetables, and then a dessert. All of the food was very tasty, and some of the best indian food I've had. The "spicyness level" is european standard, not indian, and I found... More

Been here today and odered a Karahi chicken platter for one. First of all in bread they had Bhatura (flour) which even upon request they have not changed to Naan. Secondly Karahi chicken was dry without curry-normally Karahi chicken has some gravy so it was impossible to eat rice with this- asked for some sauce/curry and what was presented is... More

I order a classic chicken curry and have to say that it was the best I have ever taste. My girlfriend tryied something more spicy and it was very good! The service was very good, the owner as i suspect it was come out and talked little with us. So if I go to Berlin again I will certainly go... More
