We had a terrific dinner on a rainy night. Food was good, nice people, service was very friendly and knowledgable, great atmosphere, good value. All-in-all a great choice. We were staying in Mitte, so La Cocotte was a bit out of the way and on a street we wouldn't have found without a taxi. Still, it was worth the effort.... More

Visiting the "La Cocotte" since 5 or more years it is still a fine place to eat some kind of authentic rural kitchen with a touch of snotty-friendly-french atmosphere. The guests are well mixed, mostly people from the area, better situated and "in their best years". The menu card changes depending on the season and offers a variety of typical... More

I eat here every time that I am in town and always come back. This time the atmosphere was a bit quiet but the owners were away, which I guess is the reason. I had the Foie Gras, yes it is duck not goose and priced very reasonably(see previous review) The menu is a la carte and not fixed unless... More

Just not worth bothering, or rather, we feel conned. We had checked their menu on Internet but the experience was very different from the restaurant offered on their website. We were led to believe they offer a good selection of a la carte menus but instead found out that they offered a limited range of set menus. We suspect that... More

We wanted to celebrate my fiancé's birthday in a nice french restaurant. So we went yesterday to "La cocotte". First it seemed promising - a cute neighbourhood, a diverse menu, real french owners and staff in the heart of Berlin. But what a disappointment. The food was medium minus. The famous french "foie gras" - the flag dish in any... More

The place is located in the vicinity of very trendy Akazienstrasse and Goltzstrasse, the It-neighborhood in Schöneberg so to speak. So many nice (and good) little cafés and restaurants and bars open up in this area, that there is hardly any need to walk any further than a hundred meters while being able to change locations 10 times if you'd... Interesting. The atmosphere is a bit dark and the candles were not I would have great difficulty in seeing what he was eating. The menu is somewhat limited in options, and the wine list is very short. My boef bourguignone, however, was quite good. I would say almost excellent. Service is attentive but a little amateur. Not bad, but far... More

Having eaten here last year, we came back again last weekend and what can I say. Just as perfect as last year, great tasting food, amazing wine, lovely friendly and fun staff. Am sure we will be back everytime we are in Berlin from now on .

The food is fabulous. Very French. The staff are charming and gay. You are guaranteed a great night out here. And it is open until 1am!
