Best Chinese in Berlin

Authentic Cantonese, probably best in Berlin. Always crowded especially in the evenings, reservation recommended. Chef's recommends written on board are usually worth trying, Cantonese grill and hot pots are best here, while Dimsums should be avoided - the reason why I take one star off.

been there many times - and it is always a blast. We had the peking duck yesterday - which is a starter, actually. Even for me, the big eater: excellent.

Read TA reviews & decided to visit to take a break from German fare. Huge menu, which usually sets off warning bells to me. Often means that, unless you speak Cantonese or are a local, it's pot luck to find the best the restaurant does. Unfortunately, that was the case with us. The good: the Kung po chicken was spicy,... We had 2 starters, 3 mains and two beers which came to £45 which we thought was great and we were stuffed! Really extensive menu, the bread dumplings were amazing and very attentive staff. Would revisit

We had lunch here recently and it was very good. It was cold and raining outside so we both started with soup,won-ton and sweet and sour. Both very tasty and large portion. Then we had some dim sum type dumplings which were also very good. Finally our mains and they were good too. One was shrimp and one chicken. Had... More

It's hard to find another Chinese restaurant in Germany who has thicker menu. Dim sum, BBQ mixed grill, steamed fish, stuffed tofu etc. all are cooked in traditional Chinese way. If you want to try real Chinese food in Berlin, there will be your first choice.

It's the oldest Chinese (to be honest it's Cantonese) restaurant in Berlin, food is good, prices are a bit above average for Berlin standard but still worth it. For sure there are plenty of option in Berlin for Chinese/Cantonese food but Good Friends is worth trying.

2soups 1 noodle rice with chicken and vegetables, 1 beer 1 soda. 30€. We both arrived with stomach ache to the hotel. Chicken from the soap and noodles smelled and tasted funny. Several pieces of skin. Not sure if it was fresh. Had to leave more than half of the soup and the dish. Personnel did nt care much about... More

Not a big fan of German food so searched out something different. Ate here several times and felt the food was good and portions were big, service was also good. Tables were a bit close together. Suggest making a reservation if you go after 7pm, otherwise, plan to wait in line.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
