French soup to die for!

Service was fantastic, sat outside, lovely ambience. Waiters were very attentive and helpful. French onion soup was delicious, duck confit was very tasty but I have had better, I was slightly disappointed. I would have liked more options on the starter menu but a good selection of mains. Had a wonderful birthday dinner here. Staff was polite and professional, nice atmosphere. The food was great! Much better than we expected... We came here , not expecting much, and had a great experience. The food is a heavy, and very rich in flavor, so if you are planning to eat here- come hungry!

There are lots of lunch Options on the street, but this one is old style French hospitality and the classic menue Comes with entrecote and French fries, we skipped the wine, the Dessert is a classic one, too - creme brule! Go.

A very busy restaurant, good atmosphere, cheerful and helpful staff. In good location within Mitte. An ideal restaurant for all groups. It is wise to reserve due to the popularity. Go relax and enjoy the ambiance.

Being tourists my wife and i happened across this place walking balcony to our hotel from check point Charlie. Apart from feeling a little underdressed in jeans and a t shirt, the place was faultless. The food was delicious with the steak and rack of lamb the best either of us had ever had at a restaurant. Must visit if... More

We had an excellent meal at a very busy French restaurant. A little bit of a wait but we had the Alsace Pinot Noir wine at 23 euros and bottle of water while we waited. We had the French onion soup which was delicious, followed by kidneys in Madeira sauce with mash and vegetables and also the chicken in cream... More

We visited Entrecote, along with four friends, whilst holidaying in Berlin. First impressions were good. It then went steadily downhill. Starters were served haphazardly. We then waited over 35 minutes for our main course. This was finally served at 10.00 pm (we were seated at 8.00 pm). At no time did anyone come over and apologise. The duck, ordered by... More

For our last night in Berlin we wanted to get away from German food and indulge in some excellent food; we were not disappointed. The smoked salmon and creme fraiche starter was fabulous, but the rack of Lamb was outstanding. The fondant chocolat finished it off nicely. Surrounding were good, service was good and the waiters very attentive. Well worth... More

This Restaurant was recommended and booked by our hotel. It is not cheap. We were a party of 6 tourists. Our starters arrived at different times. We waited half an hour for our main courses, and when we asked Sebastian, the senior waiter, how much longer they would be, we received no feedback. When we asked the Manageress, we were told... We chose this for the last night of our first trip to Berlin based on TA research. We had not booked but were fitted in on a very busy night. The service and food were fantastic. Not cheap 140 Euro for 2 x 3 corse meal + wine. But wow!!!

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
