A pleasant experience

It was quite a taxi ride to the restaurant from our hotel near Museum Island but ultimately it was worth the trip. The restaurant is situated in a quiet area on a leafy mall and sitting at an al fresco table in a pleasantly cool, breezy evening was a delight. The service, food and wine were of a... read more

Relaxed service, excellent food (the carpaccio di manzo and the gnocchi especially good), an interesting wine list (an unusual South Tyrolean pinot noir), and very good value. Highly recommended.

Second time on this restaurant and we were really happy with service and taste of the dishes. Excellent service and really nice atmosphere. Wide range of choices, beef tartare & osobuko Definitely recommended.

Visited yesterday with a colleague for lunch. It was perfect for a relaxed informal lunch. The waiter was attentive but not in your face, and offered an excellent Sauvignon to complement the midday menu: buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad followed by sea bass. The buffalo was as tasty as I've ever tried and the sea bass cooked to perfection, each... More

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of the 5 star hotel we were staying at. It was my partner's birthday, so I wanted to take her somewhere nice for a memorable evening. It was certainly memorable, but for all the wrong reasons. Having taken our drinks order on arrival, the staff left us to our own devices for about... More

Nice Italian restaurant with a nice terrace looking onto a square. We had starters and pasta and they were very good, pasta was very simple much like they do it in Italy. The wine was good as well but rather than picking it out of the menu it was just brought to our table without knowing the price. We ended... More

I went to this restaurant and had a delicious meal. Wine, pasta Jacob, dessert but when the check came the charge for the wine was 39 E and not 18 E which is what was stated on the menu. The waiter explained that lower price was for a "take away" bottle not a "dining in" bottle. It was not clearly... More

The food was nice but not something to die for - unlike the wine list. In short, if you are around Kurfürstendamm and need to woo an amateur wine lover (can't say anything about professionals because I am not one myself), this is the place to go. Very fitting design with wine bottles everywhere, good service, online booking also available.... More

First of all - the service was great. A little too much but definitely the nicest I had in Berlin for a long time. The wine was good but pricey starting at 30€. The sea food antipasti platter for two was big but nothing special to charge 24€ per person. The main dishes were enough to be filled and tasty... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
