This is one of Berlin's hidden gems. The outdoor seating by the boating lake coupled with the smell of the gorgeous food being served and the people of all ages and walks of life mingling make this a truly special place. A must for any one up near the Brandenburg Gate and the park beyond.

Walking in the park en route to other attractions. Decided to have a beer and an ice cream for lunch - fast service, cheap, tempted by the pizzas on offer and other food but resisted as planned ahead. The ambience was fun, outdoor seating sl. Bohemian, don't go if you want any more than eating amidst others, but highly recommended... More

Went for a lunch whilst walking through the gardens. Absolutely awful service from a very rude manager. Pizza was good but the service really ruined the whole experience

Nahh, very expensive with Berlin standards (leberkäse + kartoffelsalat, no drink 10 Euro). The food was ok but the service was below pair. I don't expect anything extra from a Biergarten but a smile is always nice... Only good thing is the location, Tiergarten is great and the small pond is ok.

This definately has the best setting out of the beer gardens we went to in berlin. The beer is great but not as much choice as I would have liked. Wood fired pizzas are great too.

We had the best service ever at this restaurant that is known for poor service. We took place at the area where you are served and not self served. Was the right choice this time and all three waiters at our area were pretty customer focused. Up Selling was made, eye contact was maintained etc.price for 3 persons including drinks... More

We stumbled across this beer garden after a longer walk in very hot weather and thought we had entered paradise. Although it was peak time there was hardly a queue at the bar and the young barmaid was amazingly efficient. The whole place was full but the atmosphere was so laid back so no one was stressed. We only had... More

I was told to go there by a neighbor who said it was great. Nice view by the water in the park and it was very busy. Food was OK but not great at all. Not really German but more international with lots of pizza. Pizza was OK

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
