Avoid the self-service area and especially the drink counter. It just smells disgusting. Overall the whole area looked kind of uncared for.

We walked to this from the Intercon on recommendation and ended up there 4x during our stay. Located on the pond, and with outstanding outdoor seating (plus a gorgeous old world interior) the food is authentic with rich grown local ingredients and perfect beer selection. The staff could not help enough explaining dishes. This is a casual place that welcomes... More

so this is a well known Biergarten in the heart of the Tiergarten, and our first Biergarten of the trip. The food was pretty expensive. You can by a half rotisserie chicken for about 8 euros and a full size but cracker thin crispy crust pizza for about the same. I think 8 euros also got me a few Weisswurst... More

Do not expect much. If you were happy with good food and fine beer, it is OK. Crowded after work time. Nature is the best part. Pizzas are delicious. Beer is no better than any other places.

We stumbled into the cafe on a long walk through the Tiergarten from the Reichstag to the Zoo. We intended on just having a drink, but the lakeside setting was so beautiful we ended up staying longer watching people rowing boats and setting up the big screens for the football. A very nice fresh pizza and a large pretzel were... More

Having just checked into our hotel, we decided to go into the Tiergarten nearby for breakfast. The building housing this Cafe is uninspiring. However, the interior felt very warm and inviting with candles and a roaring pizza oven (although it was June, it was cold and drizzling). The breakfast platter for EUR 19 seemed expensive, but for two people it... More

The cafe itself was full, but we could have a seat in the broader area of the cafe. If you smoke and like to drink beer it could be a nice place. To us this cafe is overestimated: the view to the Neuen See is disappointing and the food avaible in the broader cafe-area is the fast-food cafeteria-type. We got... More

The Cafe boasts a lovely, lakeside location in Berlin's gorgeous Tiergarten. It could be beautiful...but the service really takes away from its charming setting. We waited half an hour for water to arrive. We then ordered two salads, one without tomatoes since my friend is allergic. First off, the dishes arrived both with tomatoes. We sent hers back, waited another... More

This is a real people watching place next to where you can rent a boat to go out on the lake. The food here is really fresh and simple. I had a simple pizza but it was so fresh with a beautiful crisp base and magic tomato sauce. This is over near the zoo entrance to the tiergarten and is... More
