Nice Location

Beautiful location but terrible service I was there on April 9th and It took 17 minutes for the waiter to take our drink order, the Prosecco I order was flat, the food was good and nicely presented but then we waited almost 20 minutes again for the bill The bread box was open on a service table and birds were... This is a very traditional type of coffee shop located by one of the beautiful lakes in the Tiergarten. We sat outside and had coffee, which was strong and well-made. The decor was rather old-fashioned but this place is all about the location. Definitely worth a visit but there are better coffee shops elsewhere in Berlin.

We stumbled across this place whilst walking through the Tiergarten and stopped just for a drink, but ended up having food as well. The staff were friendly, the food was tasty and the portions were massive. I can imagine this place gets really busy in the summer, but the location at the tip of the lake in the Tiergarten is... The guy who should be welcoming the guests is the most unfriendly host, I've ever seen. We've waited half an hour to have a waiter looking after us. Came here with recommendation, but the service was very disappointing.

Slightly off the beaten track, near the Zoo and set amidst trees and next to a lake, we were recommended here by our concierge when we asked for a good, non-touristy restaurant. We got a friendly welcome, a good table and the atmosphere was good; a mixed clientele of locals; couples, friends, families. The menu didn't offer a huge choice,... More

We found the cafe by accident and were pleased that we did. On a lovely morning we had a sizeable breakfast overlooking the lake...heaven!

This café is close to the Neuen See boating lake and the zoo. It's a good place to go for a drink or for good shape basics like pizza. There are roaring wood fires for when it's cold, and a large outside area for when it's warm. There's a good selection of beers and wines, and it's considerably cheaper than... More

We had a great brunch here recently, helped along by a window seat and a bright crisp afternoon - very scenic, we shared a 2 person breakfast platter, cheeses, sausage, salami, salad, fruit, porridge, muesli - tasted great, well priced and I can only imagine its better in the summer and in the evenings. Recommend to all.

I was recommended this place by a friend and I'm glad I visited. The interior is very homely with log burning fires, the view of the lake and park is very pleasant and the food is good. I had a pizza which was very large and cooked perfectly. My Mum had a salad which was slightly less value as it... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
