Afternoon drink

We just stopped by for an afternoon drink, homemade limonade were very good, the service was nice, the place is very charming and well located, different kind of yummies pastries and cakes and the plates we saw looked very nice as well. Nice place to stop by.

Horrible service, horrible food, horrible manager with a horrible attitude. We've traveled extensively and have never encountered such rudeness (no, not even in Paris where we've spent a good deal of time, nor in Italy even on the worst day!) Skip this silly little place and choose a different beer garden. I never would have guessed that a Berliner would... More

Fantastic location with beautiful lake and fairy lights lighting the landscape. Food was good though service a little haphazard as waitress insisted on bringing starters and mains together?? Apparently a tad of a celebrity hangout

This cafe was like a scene in a romantic novel. What an ambiance it was! We went for breakfast and the food was fresh and tasty. I bit that it's even more beautiful at night when the endless lines of bulbs are on. The waiter was very helpful and sweet. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately we only had a couple of hours in the Tiergarten but it was a lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. We visited both of the bier gartens within the park. The Schleusenkrug, adjacent to the Landwehrkanal, was quite busy when we ate there on a weekday lunchtime. We then walked on for around 15 minutes... More

This was my favorite summer spot in Berlin until it all turned into complete trash hole. I didn't mind bad service since the bad service is all you can get in Berlin even in best restaurants with rare exceptions, I am used to that and never allow it to ruin my going out mood. But yesterday the line was crossed.... More

Excellent location and decorations. You are in the heart of the city yet it feels like somewhere miles and miles away in a forest. The pizza is very good and the plus for me, they prepare several types of Pizza Bianca. Avoid trying any if the horrible and overpriced Lemonades and Ice Teas. Service is so so & overall the... We came here for breakfast after a walk through the Tiergarten. It's pretty enough, with lots of birds chirping round, however the bacon and eggs were nothing to write home about and the service was agonisingly slow. We had to ask three times for the bill, which eventually came after 15 minutes. Perhaps it's better to just have a beer... More

I only had a free morning in Berlin, so wanted to have the best possible experience that I could find. Numerous searches all suggested breakfast at this incredible beer garden in the Tiergarten. First, the walk from the Brandenburg area was so nice, thru the park along the trails. I arrived just as the restaurant was opening for breakfast at... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
