I like this place for late lunch.

Elegant place, good service. Good food without surprises. Wine prices are definitely calculated above average.

Located in the center of Mitte, this Italian restaurant is not only aesthetically beautiful but the food is delicious and service impeccable. I was also very happy that even though I just walked in without a reservation and even though the restauranty was extremely busy the hostess and manager were gracious to fit me in almost right away.

From the outside it has an appealing feeling. Bit posh perhaps. Its an italian restaurant. But is it good food...no. just average italian food. No comparison to what you can get at other places or in Italy itself. Service is traditional and competent. Wine is good. But for what you pay...i would say overrated. The food isnt bad but could... We had an enjoyable and high quality meal here marred only by the delay between courses. The wine list is extensive too

Very nice location, center Berlin. Looks 'chique' in every detail. What you eat is correct, but no more: no surprise in your mouth, never a whaw, just correct, but too expensive. Especially the wiens are very, very expensive! So don't go for this...

Got a table for 12 booked which was split out across 2 tables far from each other. After a very uncomfortable division of my guest list we sat for an exceptionally good meal, small, but exceptional. I would certainly do it again as the service was top notch! So good that it made up for the booking split and small... More

I invited my parents for dinner at Bocca di Bacco based on a previous good experience a year ago. This second visit was not even so-so. I have to say that the service was the same good. But the dishes...were not impressive at all. Had a shrimp tartar as the starter that the shrimp was strangely too creamy. I had... More

We made a reservation for dinner for 5 persons. When arriving at the restaurant our table was not yet prepared and we had to wait a while before seated. There were more people waiting for their tables, which made it little chaotic in the restaurant. Finally when being seated, we had a good evening. The food was good and you... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
