If you need to grab a cup of coffee to start your day, this is a good place to go! Budget friendly, the coffee tastes great! It is not really a fancy cafe though.

This cafe also serves a good gazpacho which tastes good with a white wine. The service is good and prices are ok.

It was one of the best apfelstrudel with ice cream ever! The Kaffe is a traditional German Kaffe, the ambiance during the afternoon was quiet. I found interesting and charming the art deco style.

Nice coffee shop that is quite popular. You can see checkPoint Charlie from here. It was a nice pick me up after a full day of touring.

It is a touristy place for tourists - everything is OK but not special. To be fair though the prices are very reasonable given it is aimed at thirsty and hungry tourists and pilsner lovely and cold.

I had a great Cappuccino and rich chocolate cake watching the Checkpoint Charlie Tourists. Around the corner is a place where you can straddle the remains of the Berlin Wall. Don't be impressed. I am only 5 feet tall and I can do it. Wishing you TravelAwakenings.... LeeZa Donatella

Expensive food and drink which doesn't mean the coffee is actually good! It was handy because the hotel it's just around the corner

In Berlin you can find lots of different cafes, however it's more difficult to find a good one. Einstein kaffee is one of the best! Most branches have a cool and modern look. Pets are welcome as well.👍🐾

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
