Traditional (based on the original London Ritz), a lounge like you want in your own home.

Little to dislike, and much to like - including the traditional "Big Ben" opening of the bar every evening - by the ever-cheerful, and very engaging "Beefeater" - a staff-member here for as long as I can remember - and that over a decade of Berlin visits.

Dont eat the nibbles save your money- The drinks on the other hand are great. Nice place to unwind at the end of the night. A mixed bag on clientele.

Fragrances is the first bar dedicated to the art of cocktails in combination with the world of perfumes and aromas. The kitchen also served me the best and most authentic Caesar Salad I have ever ordered outside of MY kitchen. A real playground for adults! Chairs need to be reupholstered though.

Part of the Ritz-Calton, so not an isolated bar, but very well appointed, comfortable and relaxing. The cocktails were superb and consistent, as we ordered the same over a few days. The bar food from their restaurant was great... tasty and appropriate portions.

I only had an hour - rushing in cold and hungry. But imediately inside I parked my natural scepsism: pricerange is fully reflected in quality and creativity menu-wise. Silky smooth steak/foisgras-burger and lobstersoup swimming with tails. served along with a plum/honey-Oldfashioned - my best oldfashioned ever! 60 minuttes in a High sealing room very alike Pastis in New York.. just... Fantastic cocktails- such interesting choices and served with some nibbles too! You're looking at approx €16 for a cocktail but owing to the fact these are really fancy and excellent cocktails served in the Ritz-Carlton you really can't complain! Overall- a great experience for those after a treat!

Nice food, will make song cocktail one wishes. Very busy even with non-guest customers, so seating was at a premium in the evening. Nice 2-piece band playing in the evening.

The drinks were perfect. We enjoyed cocktails are all worth a try. The design of the bar felt like Berlin! Very eclectic in their decor and drink selections.

With a drink you'll get a tower of snacks to enjoy. There's also plenty of people watching to be done here - from foreign dignitaries to the ladies they keep at their sides.

We enjoyed our visit for an hour or so but at 6.00 o'clock the curtians were pulled behind us and big ben rabg out about 12 times followed by a good belt of English Chamber music. Then the curtains were pulled back by a guy dressed as a beefeater! What tac. Dreadful.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
