Went to Berlin with my parents and girlfriend as we are inter-railing and we convinced my parents to come out and meet us for a few days As with being in Germany we wanted to get some authentic German cuisine and this place ticks all the boxes! Close to Alexanderplatz station and very easy to find. Food was wonderful and... More

Food was good but not great and beer was very good. Atmosphere not nearly as authentic as the original in Munich. Band seemed like they were just going through the motions. Wait staff not very friendly. You just can't experience Bavaria in Berlin.

Good place to try all the berlin delicacies like curry wurst and pig knuckle. We tried both the grilled and cooked versions of the knuckle and were not disappointed. The cooked version is Berlin style while grilled is Bavarian. Beer is excellent, try the dark ones. Service is pretty bad but that is to be expected given size of the... More

This is a sort of Bavarian styled Biergarten, with the appropriate Bavarian interior design and clothing of the staff. It server Munchener beer (also in 1L glasses) and mostly Bavarian dishes based on pork. We took the Veal Schnitzel, the pork knuckle and the beef steak and they were well prepared (the steak less than the others). The rustic -... More

Excellent Bavarian beer, good meals and atmosphere The highlight of this place is hands down the beer on tap. It's the same beer as they serve in the original Hofbräuhaus in Munich. But the food, service and atmosphere is pretty good too, once you actually get the attention of a waiter/waitress. It's a bit touristy and slightly expensive, but unlikely... More

Great German hearty fare with good beer serviced by an excellent staff. Band plays polkas and the obligatory Ein Prosit. Good fun.

This restaurant looks "traditional" mostly for tourists but the atmosphere is still very nice. Staff is friendly, dressed in dirndl and lesehose, with girls in dirndl playing country music. Go for the specials on lunch: 6.90€ for steak and potatoes: rustic but efficient.

We visited on our first night in Berlin and it proved to be a great choice. We were sat at a long table with others, which was a great way to meet others, the service was excellent and the food superb. The pork knuckle was huge, with tasty crackling and the pork steak was cooked to perfection. A fantastic find... More

Would recommend to book in advance and ask for a table near the band. The food was average and if I visited again would go for the cheaper options on the menu. This isn't an adult only establishment we visited at 7pm and our 15 year old son loved the experience.
