Very good Vietnamese

We had a very nice mango shrimp salad, the main dish was crispy duck with coconut sauce. So nice! They have nice lassies (yogurt fruit drink) and simple but good cocktails. We paid 35 for 3 people total, very good price/quality ratio. Would come here again. It's not a place for long dinners.

I was here with my boyfriend to have dinner and we were happily surprised by their cheap menu and cozy atmosphere. We ordered 2 starters each and at the same time we ordered what we were having as a main course, which came approximately at the same time - so order your starters first, and your main AFTER you have... We spent 4 days in Berlin and ate here 2 nights in a row! Beautiful, fragrant, fresh food and extremely well-priced. I particularly liked the duck. What a treat!

We were with four people, did not have a reservation, so had to wait for 5-10 minutes according for a table in this busy restaurant. We got the table in time, so that was OK. We ordered several starters, and main dishes. We very muched liked the food, very tasty, and well prepared. The service was OK, but the main... More

We stumbled on this busy restaurant after an indulgent few days, in search of fresh, light food. And that's exactly what we got. We both went for wok-stirred dishes, one beef, one prawns. They came out quickly, delicate and tangy flavours, with fluffy rice and crisp, fresh and delicious vegetables. We lapped it all up, after a few days of... More

This is a nice family managed restaurant. The waitress is not so sympathetic but the food is amazing.

In semi-trendy Kastanienallee, one could do a lot worse. There is quuite pleasant idoor and outdoor seating. I had Vietnamese tea (they were out of Vietnamese Coffee, which is piss-poor for an early weekday evening), which was terrible, but the vegetarian spring rolls (fresh and fried, fresh was better), which are available for vegetarian and non-vegetarian, are unbelievably cheap at... The staff was nice and friendly and spoke English without any trouble. Very fast service. We had spring rolls for starters and fried duck for the main course, and it was all very good.

I had been coming here for four years, but I don't bother any more since the service is so incredibly rude. Every visit it gets worse and worse. Sometimes you will wait an hour for even just your drinks. The staff have become more and more unfriendly over the years. The other reviews really reflect this too. I have totally... More

They have a fantastic duck with peanut-sauce. The spring rolls are also worth a taste. The price is cheap, too.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
