Fantastic breakfast

Yep, title says it: fantastic breakfast, great coffee, cool music, nice people, hipsters in their natural habitat. 5 stars!

My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast and sat on the outside tables on the leafy street. I had the homemade muesli and he had avocado on muffins - both very yummy! And the coffee was great!! I would recommend this place :)

I read that this is the place for great coffee so I took my wife and two year old daughter to have breakfast at Antipodes. Atmosphere was relaxed and waitresses seemed friendly although it was a hot day which seemed to stress out the staff a bit. It took a while to get our food but it was worth the... More

Super friendly service coupled with a proper good Australasian standard coffee and excellent food will make you a little homesick if you're an expat, but will also make you super happy. Might have to wait a little but worth it for a proper bene!

Uber-friendly staff, good coffee, great location. Lots of New Zealanders in a beautiful old Berlin street opposite a church. Lovely music, great wifi too

I found the restaurant to be average. Ordered eggs with bacon, sausage and avocado on toast. Eggs and bacon came out very, very undercooked. I asked for the eggs to be cooked a little more, which seemed to offend the waitress. Waited literally 10+ mins for them to come back (mind you this place had like 5 people in it)... More

Antipodes is one of those treasures that once you've found it you will want to go back again and again. Great coffee, the hot chocolate is also really good. We had their coriander, carrot and tomato soup with corn bread and a warm freshly baked roll and it was delicious. Their carrot cake is also fantastic. It's small and cosy... More

A wonderful slice of New Zealand in Berlin. The coffee was one of the best I've had anywhere in the world. The food was simple but delicious. We ate breakfast here two days in a row because it was that good. Tried the avocado, bacon and tomato on a toasted muffin, delicious. I had some sort of bacon and eggs... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
