The three course menu for 12€ features a good selection of options and was an excellent choice. I had the best crepes in years. The pear cider was good as well. We had a wonderful time. Great service, unpretentious and cosy. Cool outside sitting. No credit card accepted.

Really amazing place, Healthy food, fair prices, good wine, everything what you need for nice dinner. I was surprised why this place was empty (Saturday-19-August 19:00) We spend there 3 hours, in a really nice atmosphere. Galette the best ever, even in Normandy I was not ably to find better, I will go there next time.

Most people either stumble into the place by accident or are led by the TA. Crepes are quite good, huge selection but prices are high and you meet the tourist crowd here. Ok for a quick bite but not really a place to hang out.

It's true! The Creperie Bretonne gives a great occasion to taste the best crèpes. The venue doesn't have special qualities but the kitchen is great. And is in the most cool area in Berlin.

I love this place! I think that for Germans, crêpes are only associated with dessert and a sweet treat, whereas French crêpes (galettes) are garnished with meat, ham, cheese, vegetables, nuts etc. It is very tasty and a healthy meal since the dough is made with buckwheat, energizing and nutritious fruit seed making it a suitable substitute for people who... During my stay in Berlin for a few days, my friends and I went to this french crêperie in the evening. I heard from it via a food blog about Berlin and thought it might be something to try out. Nice atmosphere with smooth lights, music, candles. The galettes were absolutely to die for, we all had a different one... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
