Green delight

What a treat! The turbot fillet came in a truly turbo whirlwind of fresh, springy veggies, nodding to the season, with asparagus, broccoli, zucchini, fennel, mint leaves, and those thick fat fresh green olives for starters, all chanting spring. Will I ever learn how to prepare spring greens like... read more

The turbot fillet came in a truly turbo whirlwind of fresh, springy veggies, nodding to the season, with asparagus, broccoli, zucchini, fennel, mint leaves, and those thick fat fresh green olives for starters, all chanting spring. Will I ever learn how to prepare spring greens like Italian cooks do? But then, why should I try? I can... More

We found this Italian restaurant in Berlin by checking Tripadvisor. Even if we had to walk for half an hour in the rain to get there, it was absolutely worth the trouble. It is a very nice small restaurant with a really friendly and familiar atmosphere. The staff was very welcoming and helpful in a nice italian relaxed style. The... More

We have chosen this restaurant using tripadvisor. And we were not disappointed. The choice of food is limited, but exellent. Modifying a main course into a shared starter was no problem. The waiting time between courses was a bit long because the restaurant was completely full. But waiting was worthwhile. Reservation is recommended!

went there for lunch. Had one of those lunch menus they offer. Food is good and tasty, genuine and freshly cooked. Selection of wines is large, and quality is high. I'd definitely recommend it to friends. It's really worth a visit. Don't miss it! Service is fast and friendly.

Having survived several New Year receptions in a row with your so-so buffets, adorned by biz cards, bubbles, and blabla, I finally sought and found refuge and soul food in my regular corner spot. A ginger-spiced, generous serving of heartwarming, bright green pea vellutata (how can it be SO green??), followed by duck liver on grilled radicchio treviso (the long... More

My husband & I recently had dinner at Enoteca L'Angolino. Our prior Saturday night plans fell through, and we booked a table that day after finding it well recommended on Tripadvisor. We arrived and there was a mistake... they didn't see our reservation on their email and the restaurant was packed! However, the wonderful manager (I believe his name was... More

Our first night in Berlin and we didn't know where to eat. This restaurant is in a row of them near our hotel and had good reviews. We were not disappointed. The multi-lingual waiter was very patient and understanding odour lack of German. My son chose to eat tagliatelle with a venison ragu, I have rarely heard him rave so... More

Cozy little Italian Restaurant. Very professional service by the staff. We loved the family like style in the restaurant. Had a mixed starter for all at the table (cheese, meat, vegetables etc.) Very Very good! For mains we had various pasta dishes, all perfect. Finally to top things of, we had a fantastic Tiramisu. Good selection of wines as well.... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
