Right on the traffic lights/junction which is opposite the East Side Gallery. Not in the nicest part of Berlin, had a funny vibe about the area but this place makes up for that. Freshly cooked to order, crisp tasty schnitzel, chips and a little salad for about 6-7 euros. As people mention, its served on paper plates but the staff are... More

Scheers Schnitzel. The first time I went here was 3 years ago when I was on a tour visiting the East Side Gallery. I had it on good advice, that this place made a great Schnitzel burger so I bypassed the East Side Gallery and did not regret it. Scheers' burgers were that delicious! Crunchy, juicy schnitzel cooked while you... More

Monday lunch , a nice day outside and a good schnitzel. Very minimal place with paper dishes and paper napkins. Nice music.

Great wee café, between Warschauer Strasse & the East Side Gallery. You can get a big tasty schnitzel, chips, a side salad & a beer or soft drink for about 9 euros. Not a place for lingering but friendly & quirky enough & ideal if you have a hankering for a big ,tasty feed before heading off to Kreuzberg to... More

We went to this place according to what we read here and it's definitely worth it. It's very good and the prices are very low. The interior is a bit rough but matching the neighbourhood.

Relaxed business, schnitzel must-go place! They have also a vegetarian choice. Very close to East Side Gallery, PLUSBerlin-hotel and U-bahn Warschauer Strasse. Price-ratio must be amongst the best!

Schnitzel was nice and fresh. Chips were great and so was salad. I couldn't believe how cheap it was for the amount of food we got. You can get all sorts of toppings on your schnitzel, and they all looked nice but I just got the original one.

A fridge full of a wide range of decent drinks. Bar stools, and a couple of tables. Open kitchen. Old school hip-hop subtly playing in the background. Not much time passed before I had my first experience of schnitzel, and some delicious crispy fries (I'm English, and these are chips, they're more like steak chips). Some places in Berlin over... Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
