simple good food

we loved the presentation, the taste and the price of these schnitzels near Plus Berlin Hostel, the Eastside Gallery and Warschauer Street S-Bahn. Not much place to sit down but we just shared a table

I've been here twice now and each time I've had a great schnitzel chips and salad for €5:50. You can get all sorts of variations but I have only tried the original and it's a good quick snack before embarking on an exploration of kreuzberg or friedrichshain. You are given a number which is called out on a loud speaker... More

A little place, literally below the UBahn tracks by the River Spree, and across the road from the East Side Gallery (Berlin Wall). Nothing fancy, but an enormous and delicious schnitzel with potato salad for 6 euros. If you're looking for haute cuisine don't bother coming here!

Ince we arrived i already thought what an unhygene place. Ordering in english was difficult and my schintzel with fries without salt was with salt... When i asked again the guy just ignored me. Then the schnitzel, it was 50% meat, 50% breadcrumps and didnt tatste like a schintzel. The only positive thing about food were the fries which tasted... More

Place was so tasty, I ate there twice in one day! Great environment, great schnitzel, basically exactly what you want to eat. Jakub being the counter (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) was so friendly and welcoming. Oh, and there make a lot of the sauces themselves, in house.

An unassuming place with honest-to-good food. The schnitzel is really delicious and the food is decently priced. If you're at the East Side Gallery, come here for lunch!

The young man behind the counter was way more friendly than I expected from any Berlin restaurant. This was my first time trying schnitzel and I found it delicious with salad and fries for 5.50 euros

We happened to stumble upon this place and were surprisingly pleased! Really friendly place, with a cool vibe and the food was great! Classic german schnitzel with a twist, really good lunch and would definitely seek it out again!

Just before starting the East Side Gallery Walk from direction of "Warschauer Strasse" you pass by this fantastic small place. Not really a Restaurant, more in style of an Imbiss. The choices of Schnitzel are big. The Prices are low. A "Schnitzel in bread roll gardener style" for 3.50 €. For this price you enjoy a fantastic Schnitzel with Colesaw... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
