Really loved this place. The food is delicious and very cheap. Everything is so good, you can't go wrong with anything. And all the food comes slathered with delicious peanut sauce and yummy hot sauce!

This was the best take away experience I've ever had. Who knew that felafel, holly I and satay sauce worked so well together! Take it to the abandoned airport strip around the corner with a beer and have a perfect Berlin night!

I first went to Sahara mid 2014 with some friends and it blew me away. My girlfriend and I are currently staying in Berlin and have been going there just about everyday. 3 Euro for a Falafel and Haloumi sandwich, excellent price for an incredible sandwich. Go there, you won't regret it.

After living in Lebanon these falafel sandwiches stand out as the best for me! The peanut butter sauce really makes it and the place is always packed. I've gone back so many times for the fast, delicious and cheap food. Whether you're a vegan or a meat eater there's lots to choose from (tofu sandwich is my favourite). Definitely worth... More

Sahara Plate = €5.00 = absolutely delicious!! Vegetarian too. yum. Boutique Apple Drink €1.50. This place is great value and the food was delicious. I've never had such delicious baba ganoush in my life. The Sahara Plate (lousy picture below) was a wonderful surprise. African spices on fried tofu, falafel, potatoes, with fresh salad, home made bread and extremely great... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
