Rude, impatient, unobservant, ignored us as much as they could, then shouted at us when we asked for service *30 minutes later*!!! Not a nice place...

Took almost 30 mins for a toasted cheese sandwich, ordered two drinks but only got one but by the time my sandwich finally arrived I just wanted to leave. For a limited snack menu, a lot of things were unavailable and my partner was waiting a long time for his order to be taken. Nice decor and apologetic waitress but... More

This cafe was next to the place we were staying in and luckily for us it had "Pastel de Nata" which is a traditional pastry from our home country, Portugal. Being away from home for many months made it even more delicious. Excellent atmosphere and decoration. Quiet, sunny and very nice service.

My husband and I came here for Sunday brunch because of several blog recommendations. This place was listed as one of the best brunch spots in Prenzlauer Berg. We didn't feel like making the hike to Charlottenberg or Kreuzberg because of the weather. The cafe is nice enough, with cozy seating areas and books to borrow. But it was freezing... More

They did not have the Irish breakfast we travelled to eat because they ran out of the ingredients, apparently. It was a shame as we were looking forward to it. They said it was because they have to order the ingredients from Ireland but a they only serve the breakfast on weekends, you'd expect them to have more foresight. The... More

A nice little cafe with E. German furniture. We had a very good breakfast and coffee at a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly as well. I recommend it!

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
