Affordable Meals in Kreuzberg

Although I thought the food was excellent--fresh, tasty, nicely presented, and healthy--the service was sluggish, hence the restraint in clicking on all stars. I wish I could comment on the food, but can't. Within 30 seconds of arriving the waitress wanted to know what we wanted to eat. I asked for a minute and got the raised eyebrows and curled lip. 30 seconds later the 'what do you want to drink'. Having had no time to look, we ordered two beers. 30 seconds... More

I've visited this place a lot of times, at least once every time I go to Berlin. For me this is exactly the kind of food that makes you feel so good, it's like a boost of healthiness and positive energy. Highly recommended after a tough day or excessive party nights. Here you can have delicious taste, interesting new flavours... More

Definitely the best Pho Bo I've ever had. Was a little lacking on service, but the food more than made up for it.

We enjoyed our meals as well as a quick and efficient service. Even though the restaurant was full our food arrived quickly and was delicious. The only drawback was draught beer's temperature, which should have been colder as it was scorching hot outside.

This was not a bad restaurant or a bad meal. It just wasn't authentic Vietnamese. It was Vietnamese+cream, without any subtlety of taste - as is often the case when Asian food receives occidental interpretation. The summer rolls would have been bland without an artificially strong peanut sauce, the chicken in the chicken&cashew dish felt pre-prepared and defrosted both in... More

We at here just last night with some friends who brought us for the first time. The restaurant is just of Bergmannstrasse or pushed back off the main street. The area is quite nice but its even nicer that is pushed back off the street. The restaurant has a nice style to it, good sized out side part which was... More

Just go here, it's really nice inside, the people are nice and the food is beyond great. I'm not really familiar with vietnamese food but this place sure tops what they served me at Monsieur Vuongs, which I didn't really like. 2 appetizers, 2 main dishes (great portions! really big), 2 glasses of wine + 1 coffee: 30 euros! Just... More

Molinari is a cozy, romantic restaurant in the heart of Kreuzberg. Good food and friendly service. The easy romantic atmosphere is great to sit and talk and enjoy the food. The wine menu is small but decent. I enjoyed the meal a lot for a casual evening and relaxed atmosphere.

Brilliant place to taste vietnamese starters while people watching. Food is cheap, super tasty and service is good. Been there several times, always good :)

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
