We first discovered this restaurant, situated on a quiet square, following a recommendation from the hotel receptionist back in 2004, and have made a point of visiting in whenever we are in Berlin - which is quite often! It doesn't pretend to be anything but a 'Schwabische' restaurant, and unlike a lot of 'traditional' German eateries has tablecloths not bare... More

We were directed here for some "home-cooking" by the hotel clerk, in almost a secret whisper, as if it was his favorite local place but was reluctant to share the secret. We are glad he did. Exceptional service and attention, huge delicious portions, excellent value (I invite you to translate the "not cheap" comments in other reviews here as "honest... More

The restaurant serve basic local food. No great expirience. Nothing that thrill you. The service is good.

Have just had dinner there. The re3staqurant was very crowded so we had to sit indoors, and there was a longish wait for food. But service was very friendly, the waiter explained the problem, and the food was outstanding Swabian specialities. Not cheap, but good value.

I'm Asian and went there twice with uncle and a friend during my visit in Berlin and it happened to be my favourite eatery in the city! Food is wonderful and the staff working there is really sweet. ♡ Will go there again on my nx holiday. ☆

I am a local now and often take visitors here... The food is great (not haute cuisine but it's not pretending to be), if you are nice about it and joke a little most substitutions are possible... The camp staff is really fun if you work with them, be easy going and nice and so will they be ... I... More

We made a reservation for this restaurant. We wanted to have a German meal and it was local to us. The place itself is by no means a top Berlin venue, its not even in tripadvisors top 100 for the city. But it specialises in traditional if not rather heavy wintery fare. We arrived on time to the dot, only... More

Arrived to a very busy restaurant. The main room was fairly full with groups and was very loud. The smaller room full of kitchen smells. Cream of fennel soup was very creamy, but didn't taste of fennel. The 'Maultaschen' were the best I have ever eaten. The 'Spätzle' didn't seem to have any basel or tomatoes as promised on the... The food was great but served by a waiter that obviously thought that we were beneath him being English speakers. They also didn't accept credit cards which would have been an issue if one of us didn't have some cash. The location was good.

Since two years we are with my parents and my girlfriend regularly in the “Wiesenstein” The different meals we ordered was always excellent. In different seasons the “Wiesenstein” offers seasonal dishes, like special mushrooms. What also is excellent is the service! And not to forget the nice small garden where you can sit in the warm seasons.
