Excellent restaurant!

Not in the best position, on a side road off a busy main road but don't let that put you off. Busy but without being too noisy. This place has a modern/country chic interior, not so far out of the way if you are near Alexander Platz or Hackescher Markt. Our walk to dinner took about 20 minutes. It is located on a small side street on the Spree River. The food was very good, mainly grilled. We had the octopus salad to start and the only... More

The restaurant has a nice feel to it and the starts (asparagus soup and asparagus salad) were very enjoyable. The mains were very big (pork bell and spare ribs) and basically come on their own so make sure you get a couple of sides (veg and roasted potatoes, both very nice). The spare ribs are pork though, we were expecting... More

Very good food! We had the ribs and the salmon and it was delicious.Impecable service, very attentious and kind. The towels, the cuttlery, the glasses all of high quality. Very good choice of wines also. Great environment and beautiful place. The only less positive point is the location, it's a bit outside the main centre but f it was in a... More

The restaurant is located inside of an old cute building. The service was excellent and the food was exquisite! We order the delicious salmon and the pork belly. We had the chocolate cake for dessert which was a perfect ending to a lovely dinner.

Tried this restaurant simply because it was closest to our hotel. What a find! Friendly service with excellent food served LARGE! The house wine was excellent too, both red and white Horcher Cuvee Aigne.

Had a very nice meal here with some work colleagues on a recent trip to Berlin. The service was friendly, but the food and wine are the stars. Notable for their selection of local wines and for locally sourcing their food. Much of what's on the menu is from nearby. The waiter gave helpful advice. I ended up with the... More

We went here for dinner last weekend as recommend by the Cosmo hotel staff. The menue is not big but everything we had was exquisite (in our case the liver and pork belly). As they owners also own a winery they can recommend great German (and European) wines to go with your food. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.... More

We read some good things about this restaurant on TripAdvisor - and it didn't disappoint. Haut cuisine German style. I had the roast pork and it was very tasty and succulent. the wines here are extremely good. Service was a little slow but, in fairness, it was a full house.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
