We decided at the last moment to eat at the Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt. We were not disappointed, I had the Crispy Roast Pork Hock and it was divine, it was tasty and the meat just fell off the bone. My friend had their first Currywurst and they enjoyedit very much. I have a few steins of beer which was delicious.... More

We had our first meal in Berlin here, loved it so much we made it our last one too! Food is delicious, atmosphere buzzing and friendly. Good beer and wine. Seriously recommend it to anyone who wants to try some great local food at a decent price.

Always nice to feel the ambiente of a crowded Augustiner . Having had only a beer here but if I am in Munich always bring it a visit . Prices are very reasonable here. Steak tartare was looking very good. Expect here good and simple prepared food. Staff correct and friendly.

This restaurant we visited twice as the beer was excellent and the food was very good too. The Pork Knuckle a german delicacy was large and very meaty and my husband enjoyed it. The Roast pork was also excellent. This place is busy and noisy on a sunday late afternoon which adds to the experience. It is located on a... More

Since we stayed in an apartment on Jaegerstrasse, we were right in Gendarmenmarkt. We ate here a couple times. My husband enjoyed their beer very much. Between the 5 of us we tried several different dishes, all excellent. I especially enjoyed the tomato soup. My son ate the roast and spaetzl twice! Do get there early, dinner can be lingering.... Staff are not friendly, especially towards Asian tourist. Had a bad experience from the start of the meal as the welcoming staff offered us a door seat, provided that the restaurant has a lot of empty tables. Services are ineffecient as it takes a very long time for us to take an order, Food are okay but not fantastic. Overall,... More

Good hearty food and range of beer. The sharing plates are good if you don't know what to choose. Go hungry!
