This place was recommended for basic German food. Three of us ordered three different meals and the food was very good. Our waiter was a bit...surly. We tried in vain to get his attention for another round of beers. Also, our table wiggled so much that we put some coasters under it to stabilize it. Seemed a good place for hanging... More

We stayed in Berlin for 4 days and went to Augustiner every lunchtime, the food, atmosphere and the beer was always top notch! Everyday saw an updated specials menu alongside the favourites. The service got better as the staff recognised us after the 3 lunchtimes! ......Simply Fabulous.

I doubt too many restaurants are full all night on a Tuesday evening in April but this one was. Noisy, authentic, interesting menu and great service. Would go again.

Bread soup with sausage was fabulous and roast pork with white bavarian cabbage and potato dumplings was out of this world. Great ambiance; German Beerhall but not too noisey. Incredible service and very friendly. You must go. i will be going back!!

Set on the western perimeter of Gendarmenmarkt, this is the perfect place to pick up a Augustiner Bier, with most varieties on the menu. A beautiful spot for a beautiful beer!

We were looking for typical Geran food, and found it at Augustiner. Good food, great service and buzzy atmosphere. Well located on Gendarmenmarkt. We had the 1kg krosse Hinterhaxse (crisp knuckle of pork) and the Weinerschnitzel. Best meal of our stay in Berlin!

The dinner was lovely, the service was excellent, the atmosphere excellent. Really enjoyed the schnitzel, and others said the steak and pork were very good. Overall a good value for money. The only thing that was not as expected was the apple strudel, as an export, this is usually a treat with a flaky pastry, but it was more of... More

We were a large group (45). We payed 39 Euros for three courses. It was not worth it. The starter was ok. The main course consisted of frozen vegetables that were falling apart, cold, dry meat that was hard to chew, and some kind of soggy potatoes. I did not stay for the desert (even if I paid for it),... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Augustiner. The food was good and the service was efficient and friendly. There was a really buzzing atmosphere and the staff obviously get on well together, despite working extremely hard. Our main courses wee very generous and heavy on the carbs. My OH was disappointed when unable to order the Dessert he had been... More
