We had lunch twice at this place during our three-day stay in Berlin. The food is delicious, especially the "pork knuckles", the sausages and the sauerkraut. Though not a beer aficionado, I quite liked their dark beer. The service was friendly, efficient and non-intrusive. The prices are quite affordable and the portions generous. You can have a filling meal for... More

Very welcoming, great atmosphere and setting, very authentic feel and traditional food and beer. Service was friendly and quick. Portions were enormous! Great location looking out onto the Gendarmenmarkt - with the Konzerthaus and the twin French and German Cathedrals.Had a really lovely evening!

I had the best sausages ever, I loved even the ones I don't usually like too much. The various types of mustard was fantastic too! I loved the place and the atmosphere, and it is in such a great location too!

My husband and I had one of the best meals we have eaten at Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt! We arrived after the lunch rush around 4P.M. and had no trouble getting a table. I loved the rustic atmosphere and felt like I was in a big Bavarian tavern. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. We started out with... More

Great German pub-restaurant. Perfect beer. Literally, perfect. Tried this 1 litre Augustiner and noticed that Germans are better than anyone at making beer. Meal: Beef Goulash. Just asked for 1 portion, couldn't finished even with the help of my girlfriend. Meals are HUGE! I want to go back! Very delicious! There was a blond waiter which was very rude to... More

Fun place to visit while in Berlin. We really enjoyed the food, well prepared and authentic. The beer was fabulous. The service was quite good for this type of restaurant. We would highly recommend Austiner.

Wandering around Berlin doing the usual sightseeing stuff and putting very little effort into finding somewhere to eat we found this place. It was about 1pm and the place was very busy. This always seems to be a good sign especially as the clientele all sounded local. We were shown to our table and handed a couple of menus that... More

Bartenders were enjoyable and recommended a good appetizer. There are both German and English menus to look from. There are barrels for tables with real candles in candlesticks on them. Very quaint and delicious microbrew. Recommend the experience!!

You might think it is easy to find German food in Berlin but is a bit of challenge if you want to have good food. Just by this place by accident and it was terrific. If you like big pieces of meat good good beer this is the place. Will be back next time I visit Berlin.

Lots of Italian restaurants in Berlin, or at least in Mitte. Finally a German restaurant. My husband had Nuremberg sausages with cabbage and I had grilled sausage with curry and ketchup with french fries. Good food all around, good service, good location. All in all a delightful meal
