A place to go for typical German food. Excellent service and food is served very fast. Extraordinary salad dressing. Good location, near the concert hall.

Just what we expected, typical german (actually bavarian) food in a nice setting. The food was good, the service fast and friendly and the price reasonable. Recommended.

Used to go to Berlin once a year on business, everytime I spend at least a dinner at this typical German Restaurant where you can drink among the best beers and, to my personal opinion the best crunchiest tastiest Pork Knuckle ! Also service is very efficient and attentive, make sure to book especially when you get close to WE,... More

We had a lovely meal on Valentine's Day. The portions are large. Make sure you order the "man size" beer as my other half did. They do not mess around. Delicious Bavarian specialities served by a friendly staff in a warm ambiance. Only downside was that they do not accept debit cards. Since neither of us own a credit card... More

We had Valentines Day dinner reservations somewhere else but due to delayed flights and missing luggage we were not able to make them or get super fancy like we planned. We are staying at The Regent and wanted good comfort food, casual dining, and great service. We found this place and were offered a table right away. Tons of seating.... More

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
