Good food!

Good and varied menu. We have tried most of the dishes on the menu and it has all been very good. The waiter Pom is always very smiling and friendly. The restaurant is not too big, so staff has good time to take care of every body. Good for 'every day' but certainly also if there is a... read more

Just after ordering food we found out that our only wallet was lost, happily the owner made sure we could eat by making an arrangement for the day after. Still unbiased I can say that the quality of the food matches the friendliness of the staff. We ordered Neur pad num which is not on the menu and it came... More

Sarod's pretty awesome! The mixed entrés are delicious and after a few times there... I still haven't found anything on the menu I didn't like. A bit pricy for Berlin, but the quality is worth it and the service is very good :)

this was my 3rd visit to Sarod's in the last 3 years. The food quality is down from a 9 to a 7 (out of 10). And the service was very slow and confused. We were a group of 10 people and I made the orders, I was specific to the point of writing down the number of each plate... More

Went to Sarod's on the basis of the rave review in Trip Advisor and was quite disappointed. It was fine but nothing to write home about. And it was quite pricey. The Thai on Bergmann across the street from the Markthalle is much better and much cheaper.

Cheerful Thai place with very good food, great for spending time with friends. Prices are a small notch above other Thai options in the area, but Sarod's is definitely worth it for both the food and its unrushed vibes. Quite popular, so I'd recommend reservations during typical dining hours.

Having been to Sarod's numerous times with my German fiancé, I decided to take my grandfather there for his 86th birthday. Big mistake! As soon as it became clear that we were English speaking, the service dipped badly. We were made to wait no less than NINTEY MINUTES for our meals, watching as all the German-speaking tables around us were... More

While visiting Berlin, we stayed in the Kreuzberg district. Sarod's Thai Restaurant was in walking distance of our apartment. The service was exceptional. And the meal was the best Thai meal I have ever had! My daughter and her husband both were extremely pleased! I would definitely recommend it!!

You can get better Thai or Vietnamese food in the cheap lunch places for south East Asian food that are scattered all over Berlin. Main dishes such as curries were around 13 euros which is a lot for less than average food. Would not recommend it!

Great spicy food. Advise booking in advance as its very busy. Service a bit slow but food worth the wait.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
