Having heard good things about Cafe Aroma, we opted for it on date night and not sure we'll be rushing back. The staff were friendly enough, the bread basket had a fair bit of imagination in it, but the food wasn't that impressive. The ham board had very fatty meat, including a salami, the rabbit main course was smoothered in... More

Berliners have a craving tooth for Italian cuisine. And they could not be blamed for there is a wide choice of ristoranti in Berlin. Cafe Aroma has an honest kitchen, reasonable prices and a cosy atmosphere. Tables outside are a choice during summer. Pay attention to the street lights which are gas fed, instead of electricity. It hás nothing to... More

The staff at my hotel and a guy in a shop recomended me to go to this place for some good Italian food, and I can't figure out why. The wine was old and sour, and at the begining the waitress told me it wasn't and it took a while before i got a new wine. The menu was small... More

Disorganized service. Wine sour. Had to argue about that before someone at the bar tried it and we got new and better wine. Asked for bread and oil. Waitor Said it is coming, but it never did. Starter was different small slices of various delis with no thoughts or theme at all. Pasta was close to raw, not al dente.... More

This trattoria is in the midst of a lovely neighbourhood in Berlin Schoenberg. Especially in summer you can enjoy one of the best pizzas in town outside. Staff is friendly, the wine selection is great and the daily dishes are usually regional dishes you don't get everywhere in Berlin's Italian restaurants. Aroma promotes Slow Food so it might take a... More

This place has been positively written up in many places and also recommended by many contributors. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed as the food (while good) is not kept warm. Dishes which were supposed to be hot were at best tepid and all in all I would not go back there again. It seems to me to be a place... More

Visited here for Sunday brunch. The food is lovely and includes dishes from Southern Italy. Brunch was 13 euros per person, there is variety an everything has clearly been cooked from scratch in the restaurant kitchen. There is a warm welcome to this restaurant and the chances are after visiting you will want to come back.
