Traditional German beer and food house

Popped in for a quick drink after walking the streets all day. Nice atmosphere, service ok. Good selection of beers. Didn't try the food but the restaurant was busy.

Really nice atmosphere from 1st minutte. We dropped in just for a well deserved beer after full Day walking in Berlin. After first beer we deceided to come back for dinner later. We booked table for evening. Place was full for dinner when we came 19.30 so we were happy that we made reservation. German food in Big portions and... More

We were very enthusiastic for our last night in Berlin to test this place so well rated... big disappointment. The place, decoration and atmosphere... very German, great even. Good beer and service quite nice. But the food, please... was served in 5 minutes. We even recognized the frozen vegetables we buy at home. We could not feel anything home made... More

Visited here at the end of January on a Thursday eve. Very glad we had booked, as it was packed by 8pm. Decor was great, lots of odd curiosities, looked like it hadn't changed much in the last fifty years. German draft beer very tasty, followed by traditional dishes - I had schnitzel and potatoes, my husband meatballs in a... More

On a quiet street a bit away from the noisy Kudamm, a fine german restaurant with cozy atmosphere, fully packed but nice quiet conversations. Fine food from soups through special Berliner tastes of pork, beef and liver and well, great beer. Casual prices and warm service. A place to return.

This place was recommended in our hotel magazine and was completely worth the journey. We cycled through the Tiergarten so had worked up and appetite in our quest to find this place. The pub itself is decorated fantastically with beer jugs and glasses littering shelves, as well as some rather decadent cuckoo clocks! Just full of character. The menu is... More

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
