Tipical German place!

If you like to eat pork leg or pork knee this is the place! Really tasty food in a very familiar place. In this place you will find just local people drinking local beers!

Accidentally dropped in here and had the special which was pork knuckle and a beer for under 10 euro. Food and beer were great, service quick and friendly Can recommend this place if you're looking to still your need for German food.

We have been here on a few visit's to Berlin,on our last visit we had a superb meal in here but on this visit we only went in here for some beer's. As it was a roasting hot day we decided to sit outside and enjoy the heat wave that was on all week on our holiday to this wonderful... More

We were recommended this place by a walking tour guide and it was worth the effort of finding it! A short walk from Museum island we had two bratwurst with saurkraut and kartoffellen (sour cabbage and potatoes) for a really reasonable price. The owner speaks enough English to get by, and has nice indoor and out-door seating. If you're looking... More

The food is good, the atmosphere also, however there was some sort of smell (of sweat?) lingering in the air which you could feel from time to time. The vaiter might have had his first day at work, I'm not sure. He vas very friendly and did his best though. Bear in mind, this is not a five star restaurant,... More

I ordered Schweinehaxe, a beer and a schnaps. Special price for this meal, less than 10 Euro. Very good food if you like German food. Local restaurant with pleasant interior. Also tables outside in summer. A restaurant I always visit when in Berlin.

I read very good reviews about this restaurant and I am very disappointed! After we ordered we had to wait for beers at least 15 minutes. When we asked the waiter about the food, he didn't answer and it wasn't because he didn't understand, my boyfriend speak perfect german, but because he was drunk. All the people in the restaurant... Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
