Great find

This was worth the walk from our apartment. Friendly, welcoming staff. Massively foamy coffees served with a kitsch little biscuit and gummi bears. Moreish pancakes complimented with maple syrup, blueberry compote and a special fruit salad. Very fresh. Walls adorned with interesting rock/metal... read more

This was worth the walk from our apartment. Friendly, welcoming staff. Massively foamy coffees served with a kitsch little biscuit and gummi bears. Moreish pancakes complimented with maple syrup, blueberry compote and a special fruit salad. Very fresh. Walls adorned with interesting rock/metal memorabilia. And all for a very reasonable price - 18.70 EUR for two big coffees, two pancakes... More

We went to Berlin with a couple of friends, we staid in an apartment in the Prenzlauer Berg area and the Beakers Pub was just down the street. We had breakfast every day and every time it was really good. I took the scrambled eggs with toppings you choose from a wide list. A classic. The only trouble we experienced... More

Well to begin we took the pancakes and the fried egg (both are really delicious!) But the real deal was the fruit with vanilla curd , damn it was the best breakfast we ever had ! Definitely recommend this place !!

Perfect spot for a lazy Sunday brunch. Choice is limited but everything we tried was delicious! The scrambled eggs with salmon were a peri year highlight. Will be back next time I am in Berlin!

Service was slow because they were really busy, but the eggs were good. The tea was served in regular drinking glass, which made it hard to handle because it was so hot and the tea was weak.

Food was good, though we only had the breakfast food so you can't really go wrong with that. The service was really good and attentive though, probably because we were there and on a Thursday noon so it was quite quiet. We highly recommend this place.

We came here for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and fresh the dishes were. My girlfriend had pancakes and I had scrambled eggs with goats cheese, mushrooms, and sausages. However, the service left a lot to be desired. Although our order was taken quickly, our food ended up arriving before our coffees. By the time our coffees... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
