Really lovely pub

We ate here twice - the beer is very good and there is some good solid pub food to be had. Very mixed clientele with staff that on occasion are very much Berlin - a bit direct. It is a perfect place to relax and meet with friends, but also on your own. Very hassle free.

I visited Walhalla with some friends and the service was definitely lacking a bit. The food was good, but it took forever to be cooked and brought to our table. I wasn't really impressed with this location.

I came here with some coworkers while on a business trip as we were staying in the area and there weren't all that many options. However, the place was pretty nice. There was a decent beer selection and the food was alright. I was expecting less considering how many options were on the menu. However, upon closer inspection, you notice... More

Came for a drink after meal; good local German pub with fairly decent choice of beer and wine. Good value for money.

It's a tipical German pub , completely informal with no hassle . Quite large menu with ok food, sometimes. I had 3 times salad with chicken but the salad was not washed properly so I could also eat little stones . Chips are the worst of the frozen ones . But the really bad part is that Unfortunately the service... More

We were walking around looking for dinner and came across this pub. Very good value, huge portions. Also wine by the glass, some tasty wines. Nothing fancy but very good for a decent feed.

.... a rip-off. Every time I'm in Berlin I try to be there at least once. I can't really be objective in total since I used to be there once a week when I lived in Berlin. However what you get is fair priced food that is not haute cuisine, but good solid stuff that tastes well and the portions... More

We were looking for small traditional restaurant, and this was perfect. Food was good, and atmosphere was a typical neighborhood gathering spot!

Easy meals but really good! We live closeby and eat here pretty often, healthy and substantial food for 6/7/8 euros a meal. Friendly staff! The service is kind of slow if you go later in the evening, because it's packed every day around 8. If you go earlier, the wait is very short. Atmosphere is good, anything but formal, Feels... More

Staying in Moabit

Neighborhood Profile
Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighborhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city center are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighborhood in the city.
