The food was very tasty. We decided to take a Berliner Special. The staff was ok, the atmosphere inside was nice. This is a cosy small place but these are the things I like. Surprisingly the prices are low. I love German food! Will go back. Recommend you!

We visited this restaurant near Alexanderplatz for our evening meal and we thoroughly recommend eating here on your visit to Berlin. It was a busy night, but the host who met us was very friendly and took us to a lovely table for two. He was very attentive, despite the fact that it was so busy and we enjoyed a... More

An old style Gerrman atmosphere in an area near Alexanderplatz which has so many international restaurants. Traditional German menu but translated into English so the you can see clearly what you are choosing. The food and service very both very good. Busy with both locals and tourists. We went back 3 times during our week in Berlin and enjoyed each... More

After a morning of sightseeing, walking past this restaurant was a welcome find. Classic, flavorful German fare (plus a few salad choices if you're wurst-ed out!) in a pleasant atmosphere. Our party enjoyed the Currywurst, Berliner Teller, and Kohlroulade (stuffed cabbage, specialty of the house). Portions were generous but not onerous, and we were satisfied as we set off for... More

After having visited several x-mas markets it was a joy to rest our weary feet here. The food was excellent and at a very good price. The staff was very friendly and we were very pleased with our visit.

We found this restaurant by chance as we traveled near Alexanderplatz . The menu includes authentic German food, especially loved the house specialties. Relatively crowded place but the atmosphere is very pleasant and has an option to sit outside. The price is reasonable.

My experience last weekend of Berlin was that Germans expect quantity first, acceptable quality second and as a result most extablishments like this one do pretty much what you would expect "from the tin". Madagaskar steak (£14) was available "well done, medium or English". I opted for the latter - and it turns out that this means medium rare. Decent... More

We had to wait for 15 minutes before we got the menu. The waitress pretended like she understood english but when I asked to have my dish without extra salt, I got extra sauce seperate with my dish. In the end we had to wait for one hour and 15 minutes before we could finally eat. The most annoying part... More

We dined there on our first evening in Berlin and then after several dinners at other places we decided to return there and dined at Altberliner Weissbierstube on all the evenings of the rest of our stay in German capital. The waiters are incredibly friendly and efficient, always ready with a piece of advice if you happen to have doubts.... More

currywurst sausage was not that nice, and they charged 10 euro for that. the atmosphere was good, full of black and white old saucy photos, although they were more French than German.
