Food good and quite tasty however .....

The place is quite tight inside however if you have it patience the tables turn quickly. The staff are friendly and seem organized. Food is good quality and prepared with nice presentation. I would warn customers that behind the counters and bathrooms need a good cleaning! I hope they read this... read more

We came here for a cup of coffee and for something to eat. Great atmosphere in this place. They also know how to make sweet cakes!

Cool café where they really know how to make a cappucino and their food always tastes great. I like the savory items on the menu but their sweets alway impress my friends. Limited seating inside and a wait are to be expected.

We wish we found this place earlier on our trip. The cakes and coffee in here are very, very good and very cheap. We recommend the custard tarts and the carrot cake - portions are large! It can be very busy, but for a good reason.

Great sandwiches, pastas, salads and cakes in a cool atmosphere. Recommend the roast beef sandwich which is served with a lovely side salad. Free wifi too.

We came for a breakfast and took Frühstuck für zwei. The portion was big enough for two us but the egg was small, and the marmalade was not tasty, the coffee was tasty. The stuff was not nice.

We just took a coffee to go. There was a long line of people but they were working fast. It didn't take long to get our coffee. Try it :)

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
