It seems that if you are looking for a traditional German restaurant in Berlin it is more than likely that the concierge at your hotel will recommend this place. I wonder why? Take my advice find you own German eaterie in Berlin. There are hundreds. Food was good but nothing extraordinary; service was disdainful and by the end of my... More

The restaurant is small and on a side street, almost suburban. The owners are a delight and made us feel at home as we walked in. We sat outside and ate and drank according to her suggestions primarily. The pork chop is without doubt the biggest I have ever seen and even the people at the surrounding tables were laughing... Had both a real good dinner, everything fresh made and well served. Could eat tonight outside, so a real experience. Really a restaurant to go to, setup hereby recommended.

Based on the recommendations from the concierge at our hotel, we enjoyed a delicious yet pricey meal of local Berlin cuisine. We arrived 2 hours earlier than our scheduled 8PM dinner reservation and were escorted into an intimate and empty dining room adjacent to the bar where patrons were enjoying happy hour. Our waiter was extremely attentive and suggested that... More

We wanted an authentic German food experience (not a crowded touristy sausage and beer joint) and this place fit the bill!! Located in a lovely neighborhood just southwest of the city center sits this family owned little gem of a German food experience. The waiter was extremely friendly and helpful, the decor was tasteful and the place had an overall... More

I have eaten at this restaurant a couple of times when visiting Berlin. First time I was given a recommendation by the concierge at the hotel I was staying at. When travelling I always enjoy eating local food - I mean, If you visit Germany you really don't want pizza and Chinese food every day. This is the real thing:... More

Everything was just perfect. Highly recommended. Tried salmon and herring for cold starters and Fillet-Pot „Leibniz-Klause“ - excellent. Service was also very good. Definetly will come back there.

If you fancy having a German meal this is the place to come. Ate here as part of a group and the food was excellent, fresh and very well cooked. Obviously you need to bear in mind and be prepared for how heavy German food can be so come when you're hungry particularly as the portions are quite substantial to... More

We ate at this restaurant one night because we were tired and it was down the block from our hotel, and it was so delicious we went back again the next night. We ate several of the special seasonal items, one highlight being a creamy yellow carrot soup with bacon and smoked trout. The real kicker was a dense, rich... More

It was our first place to go and eat Schnitzel and sausage with Sauerkraut a couple of years ago, and we have been coming back ever since. Our last visit 2 days ago was great as always. We went there for lunch and had chicken in grape sauce and a large veal schnitzel. Great food but no room for desert!... More
