Healthy, tasty and cheap.

My husband and I stumbled on this restaurant late last night. It was packed but still managed to get a table for two outside. The food was truly Vietnamese but with the fusion of red cabbage gave it a twist. Sensational coriander and chilli flavours in the chicken salad soup style dish I had. The... read more

I had been here before and was a little afraid it wouldn't be as good as I remembered - but it was. The drinks are a little bit odd - but yummy!

My husband and I (early 50s) took our college students and their friends here for dinner. We had a bit of a wait--it was a Friday night and there were seven of us--but it was well-worth the wait, and didn't break the bank, either. I hadn't realized how much good Vietnamese food you could find in Berlin, but Monsieur Vuong's... More

Monsieur Vuong has great food, but can have long waits, particularly if you group is larger than 2 or 3.

Everything is very fresh. They have a limited menu but there are several good choices for vegetarians. Good value. Nice for a quick lunch, but I wouldn't recommend Monsieur Vuong for dinner. Very fast service even though it was crowded. Waitron was hurried but efficient. Sat outside at one of the community tables on the sidewalk. Nice way to meet... More

My partner and i had dinner here twice. Both times the food, service and drinks were very good and the price was reasonable. They are pretty busy we didnt have to wait but if we had to we would.

First time I went to Monsieur Vuong it where wonderful and no doubt 5/5. This time i where disappointed, I ate a chicken soup which where quite boring. The bouillon where really good but both the chicken and the vegetables where more or less tasteless.

After a week in Germany, it was great to enjoy some Asian flavours and Monsieur Vang delivered. We had the three dishes from the specials board - Vietnamese spring rolls, Massaman chicken and strips of beef with glass noodles with a lime chill sauce. All were perfectly flavoured. It is easy to understand why the restaurant was full on a... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
