We enjoyed the experience but found it to be overrated compared to the reviews on here! Service was efficient and staff were courteous and explained dishes to us. It was a very busy place with modern decor, so obviously a popular choice for people who are in the area often it seems. Cost of the food was so-so for us... More

We found this by chance as we were walking round looking for somewhere to eat. I am glad we found it as the food was excellent its only small and busy so we took this as a good recommendation. We only had to wait 5 mins as someone was leaving but after we sat down there was a queue outside... More

After reading new reviews on vietnamese restaurants here on Trip Advisor, Madami (close by) seemed to be the winner. So to be fair, my friends and partner decided to dine at Madami the very first evening. Both my partner and I knew from the get go as soon as we were seated that it was the wrong choice. It went... Best place we ate in Berlin by far, we went back twice during a 3 day stay. The service is friendly and fast and the food fresh and full of flavour. Highly recommended.

The place looked full when we arrived but we didn't need to wait as the tables are often shared. The service is very attentive and friendly. The food is tasty, portions are quite big and the prices are very good. And the nice ambience. We had a very nice evening meal after walking the whole day through Berlin. Worth trying!

Disappointed, food was so so, the waiter was very unpleasant, and there is a weird smell in the restaurant... Not pleasant one.

Superb, simple and fresh food. A delightful experience in Berlin. Tables are shared and they do not take bookings however it is worth the wait and the food is tasty. Expect quick and efficient service with a smile.

Went there with two girls from Copenhagen surfing my couch. We had good food, nice cocktails and a lovely start of our night there.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
