Good italian, great pasta

We stumbled upon this place as we were visiting a gallery nearby. Lunch time was almost over, but we could still order lunch specials, which at the time was a two-course menu for 8,5-10,5 € depending on what you chose. The food was very good, especially considering the price. For the quality you... read more

Lunch time was almost over, but we could still order lunch specials, which at the time was a two-course menu for 8,5-10,5 € depending on what you chose. The food was very good, especially considering the price. For the quality you got, I'd say it's cheap! The pasta... More

Located just round the corner from the River Spree and numerous other restaurants, it is much quieter and has many local residents as regular diners. There is no Menu in English, but all dishes are explained by the staff. It is very traditional.Reasonably priced. Good Food.Unfortunately our ravioli, was bland, and the description had been lost in translation.A free dessert was... More

This busy restaurant (although I was able to go without a reservation on a Wednesday night) offers a good range of well made pizzas, pasta and classic Italian dishes. The service was variable -- fast to place an order but slower in between serving courses. Although I did not try it, there was a form of flambé pasta that was... More

My friend and I visited here yesterday evening after seeing good reviews. We just had the main course which we picked off the board. I had pasta with truffles which was flambed and my friend had pasta with mushrooms and speck. The flavours of both were so delicious and we both cleaned our plates! Nice atmospheric place and the service... More

I'm not sure if the people leaving good reviews here are real or not. After enduring 16hours of flight from Singapore to Berlin, I wanted to finally have nice food in a nice environment. Since reviews are all good on Foursquare, Tripadvisor, Google, my friends and I decided to give this place a shot for lunch. We ordered ricotta and... More

OK, full disclosure, I actually visited in September of 2013 when I ran the Berlin marathon. The food was exactly what I needed before the race and I convinced my friends to go there to celebrate afterwards. Food was phenomenal. Only slight hiccup was the language barrier since the servers both nights only knew German and Italy. This added to... More

Delicious food! Big size dishes! The seafood salad was perfect. Very nice service. Recommendable also for who does not speak German. The waitres spoke in English and Italian, and explained in depth the suggestions for that night! Reservation is needed.

The Boccondivino is very close to the Friedrichstrasse train station and the Spree river. It is an Italian style restaurant very cozy and elegant. Make a reservation in order to avoid having to wait for a table. The waiter spoke English which helped and made our experience more enjoyable. We had grilled callamari as a starter and raviolli and spaguetti... More

We managed to get the last two seats on the evening we went. The staff were very friendly and the food and wine superb. The best surprise was the bill. It was cheap compared with the same quality restaurants elsewhere in the world.

Everytime I am in Berlin, I make time to visit and take clients to the 'Boc'! The waiters are attentive, multi-lingual and highly charming! For the quality, the food is well worth it, although the drinks do add up...

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
