Great

Didn't really tried the food, but the radler beer and the icecream are great! Very nice and friendly service, wifi, english speakers and good, easy going environment. Fully recommend it ;) :)

I ate here whilst staying in the Eastern part of Berlin (Junckers Hotel) and I highly recommend it for some authentic German cuisine. The "Hirsch Bar" is located in Kopernikusstrasse (#3) just off Warschauer Strasse, a short walk from the rail station. It is quite small but this is great as it makes it very intimate and cosy. The bar... More

Great little place. Just stumbled across this place on the way back to my hostel. Large meals and most main meals are under €6. Great value for money. Staff are friendly and helpful. A good choice of vegetarian options and even have English and German menus for people like me lacking in bilingual skills.

We went to this bar and had nice and tasty dinner, and enjoyed a very good local beer. Service was friendly.

Went eating yesterday the 19/5/14. Good service (english speaking) and even made a small dish for my daughter (three years old) great meal and very fair prices on beer and food!.

Love this place. Great tracks, super-friendly bar staff and a wide selection of beers. Food is a little basic and not to our palates, but that's just us. We'll be putting it on the top of our revisit list for next time we're here!

We ate here on our last night in Berlin and were all very impressed. The food is simple and feels like home cooking, however it tastes good and is ideal if you want to line your stomach or want something that "hits the spot". There are also vegetarian alternatives to almost everything on the menu. The staff were very friendly... More

Hirsch was about a minute's walk from our hotel (Upstallsboom Friedrichshaim) and we went there four nights out of five! Twice just for drinks, and twice to eat. It's very small, especially as one section is the 'smoking room', which is sealed off and must have an amazing ventilation system! There's a huge list of German beers, but they serve... More

This place is amazing!Visit for getting a taste of Baden-Wuerttemberg in the middle of trendy quarter Friedrichshein.Serving authentic Swabian food (which tastes EXACTLY like home!), this restaurant is obviously a hit with the locals, boasting a cosy atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff and incredibly good-value food. The Schnitzel is super yummy and comes with traditional Swabian pasta (Spaetzle) and a... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
