Good quality and affordable prices

Highly recommended for the delicious cakes, various breakfast options, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. A generously cut slice of cake made freshly on the premises for less than €3.

I stopped by for coffee on a Sunday afternoon after going to the flea markets. Coffee and Cherry & Chocolate cake. Both excellent. It was really busy and a bit chaotic so service was slow and disorganised. However the food more than made up for this - reasonably priced too.

We discovered this little gem close to our apartment whilst spending a week in Berlin. We only managed to come here twice but really enjoyed it both times. The breakfasts were absolutely lovely and tremendous value for money. The coffee was the best we had out of anywhere we visited in Berlin, as were the cakes. The lady who served... More

We were again in Berlin, this time 10 days. We chose our accommodation near Cup Arkona Cafe so that we could have our coffee and breakfast there. The place is excellent, service, food and drinks are absolutely perfect. Their coffee is Sant' Angelo http://www.caffesantangelo.de/

During our one-week trip to Berlin we found Cup Arkona when we came to see the flea market of Arkonaplatz in Prenzlauer Berg. The Italian-style cafe is charming, and service, coffee (Italian) and food are excellent, the ladies working there extremely friendly. After our first visit we went there every day. Obviously not yet own homepage, some info available here.... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
