The Concierge at the Swisshotel recommended this as a traditional local bar and restaurant. It didn't disappoint. On Friday night it was busy with locals all having a great time. The food was good, generous portions of standard german food - sausages, schnitzel, pork, strudel- all well cooked and good value. The service was friendly and the atmosphere great. We... More

Cute little restaurant on tree lined street. Kitchen open for breakfast and serves until 11ish. Went here 2 years ago and came back again for the great food and cozy atmosphere. Red cabbage is top notch. Great brats as well. Can't recommend enough!

Probably not, but definitely an honest pub with good honest German food. This place probably holds a special place in my heart - it was the first bar I visited in Berlin. The owner is a funny chap with a cracking quintessential German moustache. When I entered I asked him for a table for three - he simply shrugged his... More

This isnt haute cuisine, but it is very good standard German food in very warm surroundings. One thing I noticed is that apart from us everyone else was German, so it isnt really a tourist restaurant. It is frequented by locals who enjoy the good food and the service. We were served by a very friendly and efficient waitress who... More

Good food. Menu in German and English. Good selection of Berlin brewed beers. Staff very helpful and friendly. Very busy. Get there for 1900hrs to get a good table. There is a very good selection of food on menu to suit your pocket.

Went there twice during my stay in Berlin. The place was recommended by our tour director and that was the best recommendation that he provided. The food, the service, the atmosphere was excellent. Highly recommend to any tourist.

Really good traditional German food, good beer, helpful & friendly waiters, lovely atmosphere, fair price. We will go back before our week in Berlin is over. Recommended.

Try the veal liver with baked apple peaces! Or their magnific Bratwürst (made on exclusively A-quality stuff). Drink the excellent (spanish!!!) red Protocoolio or their Sauvignon Blanc from Pfalz. You'll love it!

My wife and I wanted traditional German food while in Berlin and this restaurant was close to our hotel. What a lovely find, it was almost like dining in someone's lavish home. We ordered the potato soup and it was delicious. I ordered the requisite Wiener Schnitzel because, hey I'm in Germany for a couple of days. The salad was... More
