A lot of food

Visited the Krombach for trying typically german food. We ordered Eisbein with sauerkraut and Jägerschnitzel. It was really large portions and the waiter laught when he came with the food, joking about the size of the portions... Dined here as family of 5 adults as walk ins with no reservation. We where told that they were under staffed due to sickness so service maybe a little slow but were welcome to stay. As it was hammering down with rain outside we stayed and were glad we did. Food was excellent traditional German and service was actually timed... More

This restaurant is one of four I found where you can still get real German food. I had a nice dinner accompanied by a Krombacher bier. How appropriate at the Gasthaus Krombach. The food was quite good and so was the service. The restaurant is a way off the Ku-damm and some people would not pursue the search if it... More

Very friendly and good staff, good kitchen with German foods. Nice atmosphere. We had two evenings in Berlin and were here on both for dinner. We were very happy.

It's in a good location and a lots shops nearby. It's great to have a meal here or beer after doing some shopping. The food were lovely with reasonable price in the city centre. The lady was friendly with friendly smile. We were so glad that we found this restaurant after a long walk in Berlin.

Wonderful welcome. Food excellent. Good, authentic German cuisine. I had lard on brown bread! Great for a scorching summer day. Followed by pigs knuckle. Simply delicious. And a bit of anatomy revision now I'm retraining as an osteopath. Bunty had home soused herring followed my meat balls which she loved. Thanks Tripadvisor a great choice. We didn't have room for... This is our kitchen away from home. We love everything about it and eat there frequently each semi-annual trip to Berlin. The staff is warm, efficient and friendly; the food including the breakfasts are incredibly tasty; the atmosphere & food is authentic German pub restaurant; menus in English as well; most staff speak English; conveniently located near a Christmas Markt... Loved this place. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and delicious home-cooked tasting food. We had the Berlin Pilsner, the Berlin style soup and the Berlin bratwurst (with sour kraut and mashed potatoes). All incredible - glad we shared as the portions were very generous for the price!! We definitely recommend to anyone staying in Berlin.

Everything was great. Nice warm feeling, host was lovely, we do not speak German but menu was in English. Food was HUGE and really delicious tasted like something home made like a grandmother would make. Felt like a real German home cooked meal.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
