Really good traditional German food, good beer, helpful & friendly waiters, lovely atmosphere, fair price. We will go back before our week in Berlin is over. Recommended.

Try the veal liver with baked apple peaces! Or their magnific Bratwürst (made on exclusively A-quality stuff). Drink the excellent (spanish!!!) red Protocoolio or their Sauvignon Blanc from Pfalz. You'll love it!

My wife and I wanted traditional German food while in Berlin and this restaurant was close to our hotel. What a lovely find, it was almost like dining in someone's lavish home. We ordered the potato soup and it was delicious. I ordered the requisite Wiener Schnitzel because, hey I'm in Germany for a couple of days. The salad was... More

Food is freshly prepared and piping hot. Potions are large by English standards and there is a lot of red cabbage, pork and dumplings on the menu - as you'd expect for a German restaurant. Service was good and friendly. We sat in the room behind the bar area which was less atmospheric than the main restaurant. We hadn't booked... More

Visited this place between lunch and dinner - so i was the only guest at this time. Everything was nice here - interior, pleasant service, generous portions and tasty beer. I took small goulash soup, traditional german sausages with potatoes and cabbage and a dark beer. Everything was tasty. Take care - portions are big :).

I have been to this restaurant several times during the last few years when visiting Berlin. Located just off Ku'damm , this is very easily accessible if you are staying in West Berlin. The food is traditional and geniune German. Fantastic asparagus during early summer and good schnitzels. No nonsense, no frills, honest food, generous portions. Good German beer (including... More

. I was in on a busy Sunday night but did not have to wait long for a table and receive a menu the staff are friendly and helpful. A typical Berlin menu and the food is freshly cooked to order and you will not be disappointed with a truly enjoyable dinning experience. I will be back to the Gasthaus... More

I loved their Schnitzel with mushroom sauce. It was cooked to perfection. Not oily or greasy like other restaurants. The potato croquettes that come with it were also very good. Pair it with German beer = heaven. We also ordered steak, Berliner Teller, salmon with creamed spinach, lamb stew. Those were ok too, good not great, except for the steak.... More

This restaurant served good tradional german food, from currywurst, sauerkraut and schnitzels. I had the currywurst and my partner had the schnitzels, both of which were delicous and would recommend this resturarant to anyone want to eat traditional german food. The ambience and decor was welcoming and friendly. Worth a visit if you are in the Kur'damm area.
