Great food& service. Tartar was best I’ve had. Service excellent and nice location on a warm night to sit outside. Highly recommend.

A lovely meal for my partner’s birthday. Good food, but we felt service was impersonal and designed to get diners through and out. Four days in Berlin. This was among the best food but our least favourite restaurant experience.

A sophisticated French restaurant serving delicious food in a convivial atmosphere. Service efficient but discrete. Not the cheapest but definitely worth the extra.

We had a fantastic dining experience at Belmondo -in fact the best French food that we have had outside France, and better than a lot that we have had in France! French Onion soup, Bouillabasse, Steak Tartare, all superb, as was the wine. Beyond the...great culinary experience, a special mention has to be made about the service. Jonas was absolutely excellent - knowledgeable, attentive and professional, with a lovely friendly manner. He is a real asset to the restaurant. Will definitely come back when next in Berlin.More

Beautiful french restaurant. I find it endearing having visited a few restaurants in Berlin, there seems to be a ‘designated English speaking waiter’, it makes you feel valued as they’ve taken into account the international tourism and want your experience to be as easy as...possible. Special shout out to our server (didn’t get his name), who was very helpful and we feel genuinely cared. I ordered the French onion soup for starters and risotto with King Prawns, Talbot and Monkfish for my main; both of which was amazing. The only thing that I wasn’t too keen on was dessert, but that’s individual preference and to be totally honest, I’m weird and I feel like dessert is equally as important as the main meal and so rate it as such (I’ve a sweet tooth). Definitely worth a visit, it completed a strong trio of restaurants we visited whilst visitingMore

This dining experience was a wonderful surprise. We were visiting Berlin on holiday, choosing to stay in the elegant Charlottenburg district. A few days earlier I went online to seek a spot for a nice Sunday evening dinner for my wife and I. We happened...on Restaurant Belmondo. Happily, they accommodated us despite being quite busy. Wow! It exceeded expectations. After enjoying a perfect Sidecar cocktail, we shared Chateaubriand and a bottle of St. Emilion. It was outstanding! The service was friendly, informative and prompt. We hope to be back soon.More

We went for dinner. There is seating inside and out, we were inside. I'd booked in advance, but it wasn't too busy on a Tuesday. A friendly welcome from the efficient waiting staff, and we were soon seated. We had an informed discussion with our...knowledgeable waiter over the food and drink order. My starter was scallops and prawns (the scallops a wee bit overdone for my taste) followed by a saddle of lamb, delicious in a herb crust. We finished with a gorgeous sorbet with vodka; simple but excellent, and a brandy. Great food, and drink with excellent service, and not too expensive either. I'd return.More

Jean-Paul Belmondo died just the other day so I suggested to my friends we should pay tribute to the star of the French cinema by going to a restaurant named after him. And also to relive our holiday experience in the South of France couple...of months ago. This was top-notch dining with deliciously prepared and professionally served dishes. The prices range between €15-20 for starters and €30-38 for the mains consisting of one page of meat and one page of fish dishes. Vegetarian options weren't on the menu but the waiter recommended a truffle risotto, which was to die for. The meat eaters among us enjoyed the succulent chateaubriand (€85 for two). The only thing that annoyed me a bit was the attitude of the waiter, who always seemed to try to push us to order more drinks constantly offering as a bottle of water we didn't want or suggesting a bottle of provençal rosé which was twice the price of our original €42 choice. Overall, this was a fine dining experience but with a €200 bill for three (including a tip) it is certainly not something I could afford everyday.More

We arrived in Berlin after a 7.5 hour drive. We had been in Germany for several days and really wanted a French, not German, meal with French wines. The hotel recommended Belmondo, about a 5-6 minute walk. It was excellent. The seating was socially distanced...and the staff wore masks. The menu was large enough so that one had choices and small enough that the kitchen could manage to handle it. This was NOT "boil in the bag French". The service was attentive without being obtrusive. The food was obviously individually prepared and excellent. The choice of wines by the glass or bottle was well matched to the food.More

A gentle Berlin breeze run through my back when I was making my way to the enterance of Belmondo‘s in between the tables outside of the restaurant. For a brief second a deja vu like feeling, somewhere from the Cote d‘ Azur, stroked my mind....I knew it is going to be an unforgettable evening. And frankly I was right! Honest, competent, professional service. No sucking up to stars (at the next table there was one of the greatest German singers and songwriters dining with his friends), attentive, informed, perfect. A short, though sur le point list of cocktails, a vine list satisfying the beginner as much as the gourmand. The menu - French classics. Best ingridients, classical french école culinaire, and the perfect harmony between the service and the kitchen. Just in order to mention a few memorable dishes: soupe de poisson „Marseillaise“, foie gras saute, chateaubriand, tournedos de boeuf. You think toooo classic, tooo boring? No, my friend, it was just tooooo perfect! After four hours, endless talks, desserts, digestivos the evening came to an end. And I was happy. Not only because the perfection paired with the nonchalance gave me no chance to feel upset, but mostly because I finally have found my new favorite french place in Berlin.More

My husband and I had a valentines meal here. It was busy but still felt very romantic and personal. The food was divine, in particular the option to share certain dishes. The chocolate desert was especially good.
