In the part of Berlin where you find Ku´damm, Kadewe, Gedächtniskirche and other distinctly German celebrities you will also find a great small part of France - Restaurant Belmondo, at Goethestrasse, just a couple of blocks from the above mentioned Ku´damm. It was a nice warm evening when we visited Belmondo and of course we decided to sit outside, in... More

The tenderloin steak was very tender and the shoestring potatoes that went with it was crispy and tasty. The salad was yummy and sumptuous. Seafood pasta was good but could have been tastier. Outside dining had great ambiance.

Based on the TripAdvisor reviews, my friend and I made a reservation at Belmondo for our last night in Berlin. Located in a lovely neighborhood just north of the Ku'damm, it was a wonderful, small French restaurant with a great menu. We felt as if we were in France! The service was excellent and friendly. We both enjoyed the seared... More

This hotel was recommended to us by the concierge at the Kempinski Hotel and he was not wrong. It is a smallish place, very like a French bistro, with a lot of pictures of Jean Paul Belmondo (hence the name). It was full the whole time we were there and with local people, always a good sign. I had onion... More

Serves classic dishes like foie gras, escargot, frog legs, except duck confit. We had the white asparagus soup which was in season and it was excellent. The servings are big not nouveau cuisine. Should have stuck to the traditional dishes instead ordered the tagiiatelle with lobster fricasse which was too rich. The theme of the restaurant was a throwback to... More

This is a very nice restaurant with friendly staff. The menu offers dishes the French are known for: escargot, frog legs, duck foie gras. I had the steak tartare which I didn't know would be raw meat. I had no idea the meat would not be cooked. (I'm not very familiar with french food unfortunately.) If I would have ordered... More

The Belmondo is a great small restaurant with excellent food and wine. Even though the restaurant was totally full the service was correct and personalized.. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great French meal, very nice and quick waiters' service, even when the restaurant filled up (we had business lunch there). I have to come back there for dinner

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
