If you are looking for somewhere sweet or savory to go to for brunch, then this is one of the best places in Berlin! Friendly staff, cute setting and cheap prices, not to be missed!

We waited too long for our hot chocolates. When we finally got them they were rather cold and we asked for them to be replaced. They arrived cold again and rather watery. The place is lovely with a beautiful outside seating area and a homey interior decoration. A real shame for the service.

Stopped off here on the way to mauer park market for some breakfast. Lovely little place with great food and friendly staff. We had a delicious breakfast selection of meats, cheeses, eggs, breads, fruits etc for a very reasonable price. Would definitely visit again.

A fun and quirky cafe with the cutest decorations! Great place to hang out with your friends over a plate of waffles, regardless savoury or sweet.

I first want to say that I love Kauf dich glücklich for their clothes and I shop there everytime I go Munich or Berlin. That being said, their waffles are appalling: they do not put the right amount of sugar, butter and fresh yeast ( if any at all) in their waffles and they do not allow the dough to rise... Love the waffels and that their selection is so big. There is def. something for every taste. I like the atmosphere in the cafe and the Berlin vibe in general. The service is not the fastes in the world, but the waffels are worth the wait. It's a place that I just keep coming back to. If you go there... More

This is such a cute location! They have fun accessories and their interior is beautiful! The waffles are amazing and their ice cream is so so delicious! Definitely a place you should stop after a fun day in Prenzel Berg! Especially after an afternoon stroll along the flea market at the mauerpark

One of many good cafés in the area. The coffee, service and food is as good as most other places. The waffles were freshly made which is pretty exceptional. The music was house music, and it was painfully loud. This was a sharp contrast to the 70's interior and the hipsterish clientele.

My girlfriend has an apartment in Prenzlauer Berg and whenever I'm in Berlin, this is a favorite for after-dinner dessert or brunch to get delicious waffles (I'm not an ice cream fan, but everyone else loves the ice cream). There are a lot of very comfortable chairs/tables and strange/funny items along the walls for sale. Great place to just hang... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
