Delicious waffles

My girlfriend has an apartment in Prenzlauer Berg and whenever I'm in Berlin, this is a favorite for after-dinner dessert or brunch to get delicious waffles (I'm not an ice cream fan, but everyone else loves the ice cream). There are a lot of very comfortable chairs/tables and strange/funny items... read more

One of many good cafés in the area. The coffee, service and food is as good as most other places. The waffles were freshly made which is pretty exceptional. The music was house music, and it was painfully loud. This was a sharp contrast to the 70's interior and the hipsterish clientele.

cozy and hip looking place with charming old furniture. Can be a little crowded due to its popularity. I had the strawberry ice cream, and it actually tasted like rea strawberries! Yum! I'd definitely visit again :)

I discovered this café during my easy-brunch yesterday. The first thing that I feel about this café its their power in creating the "homey" experience in the café. All the decoration, lightning setting and seating arrangement are likely to be intentional to create the home friendly atmosphere. All the staffs are very friendly and perform a quick service. I order... More

I had the waffle with cream and a berry sauce. My husband had a waffle with a scoop of ice cream. We both really enjoyed our waffles. We enjoyed it that much, we went back again. The waffles here are really something special.

Nice coffee shop decorated with a tasteful touch but very poor service(extremely slow). The belgian waffles weren't anything special and the variety of sauces one could choose from was very scarce. Average coffee too. Definitely overrated.

I'll never forget this nice cafe' for the 'being at home' feeling I had while sitting there with a friend. There were some mums with kids having hot chocolate and sweeties, other tables with groups of friends enjoying a warm place. The furniture is mismatched, coloured and quite unique, even in the bathroom. And if you like a souvenir, you... More

This is a nice little café which is very central but still on one of the calmer streets, so you won't feel any stress while being there at all, like many other cafés nowadays. The food was very well done and the special 'hipster look' as i would call it in terms of furniture etc. is a nice touch in... More

This cafe was beyond words. It made me want to go to uni in Berlin just so I could do my essays on one of their cute couches. The waffles were AMAZING (p.s. Killer combo: chocolate ice cream + fresh berries). Plus there was a vintage TV in the bathroom. What more do you want in life?

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
