Favorite cafe in Berlin

One of my favorite cafes in Berlin. Try the Erdbeeren Waffel with a scoop of ice cream and enjoy its lovely decoration, especially on a sunny day when you can sit and have a coffee at the tables on the sidewalk.

I have taken so many visitors here, and they are always delighted with the huge, cheap waffles! The toppings are generous, the interior is cool and the atmosphere is really nice and chilled. A Berlin classic for me!

This place is incredible. The food is amazing, the service great, and the location is very cute too. We rode our bikes to here and found this tucked away at the top of a high street. Full of locals and who could blame them with food this good. I had a chocolate waffle and it was Devine. Quite rich but... More

Found by chance while walking around and stopped by for a tea and waffle. Waffle was delicious! It's a quaint cafe with mixed furniture and cutlery. I really enjoyed it and would go back to try some more waffles!

This is a funky little cafe in Prenzlauerberg. A good selection of ice creams, crepes and waffles. I had a Schoko waffle .The cafe is in the same street as our apartment so this is the place to have an excellent breakfast! Nice atmosphere with two rooms of funky retro furniture inside. Very busy with local people.

Very cozy and a bit hippie place. We came here every evening for an excellent home made ice cream and the ambiance. The garden is a pleasure to sit and for rainier days the inside is very special with the flee market feeling furniture.

Visited here after dinner at Sushi Ky. A very pleasant way to end the evening? A nice glass of Merlot, an espresso and an apple & vanilla ice cream waffle.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
