good sandwich

This is a nice small place; you place your order at a counter, and they bring you the food. I had a good croquet monsieur and a salad; it was a good spot to sit and relax and enjoy the neighborhood.

We went to Fleury twice for late breakfast and tried Baguettes, Salads and Quiches and everything was delicious and magnificent! Rich taste, great flavour and simple, but very tasty arrangements. The place is very small and very busy, but the staff is very charming and the orders arrive fairly quickly. It was a perfect start into some days of exploring... More

We ate there every morning we were in Berlin. The fare is excellent. Outside seating as well. Loved it.

The vegetarian lentil soup was the best we've ever had, with hints of curry adding to the depth. The blue cheese, pear, walnut salad had generous portions of cheese and pear and an excellent dressing. The four cheese quiche had a flavorful mix of cheeses and a salad with a light vinegrette dressing. Go to the counter to order, they... More

Visited for a breakfast here, quite a simple menu but the food and coffee were both good. Nice place for a relaxing start to the day

After a bout of food poisoning the previous night, this was a quiet spot for a small meal,at 10.40 Euro for a slice of quiche and salad with a goblet of cidre, this was not the cheapest of eatries but it was good clean food served with a smile.

Unfriendly, very unfriendly service. Take ages to remove old dishes, don't even clean the cheap plastic covers on the table for new guests. I had drums and dry milk foam on mine... The attitude was very French though: feel honored to be served! The breakfast was very average: simple cheese and salami, very thick parma ham (impossible to chew). OK... More

Cafe Fleury is a bit pretentious place, with a bad service. The food is ok, but the bread isn't fresh - but ok considering the price. It is placere very well if you like to just sit an looking at people passing by. They do not have internetacces so bring a book.

Seeing the trip advisor we thought to eat French croissants and drink a good coffee. The croissants were good for a German taste (you can find something similar also by lidl) and cappuccino was also at deutsches Art.

The sun finally arrived to Berlin and we decided to go out for breakfast and sit outside. We ordered sandwich and vegetarian Breakfast plus two boiled eggs extra, it was a disappointment that I wanted fresh orange juice, and they just don't have. When the food arrived, even the pleasant sun could't help for my mood anymore... The eggs were... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
