Good meal

I had a nice meal...burger and chips. It was well cooked and arrived relatively quickly. It was a very reasonable and price too at €5.70.

Me and my boyfriend decided to eat at this restaurant as the menu seemed decent and looked nice from the outside. Oh how we regretted this later on. After ordering our food, (a main each and starters to share), we waited around 40 minutes to be served our starter which was very oily pieces of garlic bread. We eventually got... More

I think the food is average at best, we tried the Louisiana kid jambalaya and the red snapper. What makes this place a stand out is the waitress. She's so rude, almost insulting, that one wonders if it's part of a performance. I pointed out that I ordered a large beer but received only a small one, her comeback: I... More

Decided to try this place after arriving at our hostel late in the day! We couldn't have been more pleased, amazing menu, amazing beer and amazing staff who couldn't do enough to help us. If you are in Berlin you have to come here!

After a few days subsisting on snack food on our trip, we wanted to eat something hot on some sort of table for a change! We noticed a door leading straight from the Wombats City Berlin hostel to this restaurant and decided to try it. I ended up with a generous portion of delicious four cheese tagliatelle for €7.50 -... this place has really good food, opens for breakfast quite early and the staff is very friendly and helpful . The location was very close to my accommodation so I was here everyday during my vacation. The breakfast especially is really worth the money and quite filling.

My boyfriend and I found this restaurant after getting off the U-Bahn at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz and going for a wander. We arrived late in the evening at about 22.30 but were seated and given menus immediately. We ordered a couple of Long Island Iced Teas which arrived after a few minutes and were definitely found to contain (a lot!) of alcohol... More

We ended up here by accident. We had traipsed round for an hour trying to decide where to eat and stopped here because we were too tired to go anywhere else and they had an English menu outside. So glad we did! Had two lovely glass of wine, husband has the obligatory large beer and a cocktail so both of... More

We had one meal here, we got the nachos and calamari. The calamari was battered and quite oily, and the nachos were just corn chips with melted cheese, served with tiny pots of sour cream and salsa. Probably slightly overpriced considering the quality, but the waiter was lovely.

Myself and a group of friends was looking for somewhere to eat at on our first night in Berlin. We just happened to find the Louisiana kid, I'm very glad that we did. The menu is bilingual, in both German and English. The food was amazing, American with a German twist. Would definitely recommend a visit to anyone staying in... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
